It is frankly astonishing to me how this school is still running. From the multiple rodents and pests that run through the halls and inside of the walls to the insects in the sinks and water fountains to the constant bullying and harassment from this so called "christian school" is infuriating to me. My child has come home from school crying multiple times due to the copious amounts of homework and other assignments. And to add to that the bullying from other students has been unbearable to see happening to my daughter. Christianity, the religion of love and acceptance to all people, has failed my child and my family. I am extremely disappointed. From the homophobic slurs said to my daughter to the harassment due to being part of the LGBTQ community, this was one of the saddest experiences for me and my child. I did not find out about this until after the school year had ended. My daughter was so ashamed of herself that she couldn't even bring herself to tell me or her mother about the amount of bullying that she received at this school. Teachers shunned her, students refused to interact with her, she recieved three death threats, and only made one or two friends throughout the whole school year. When this was finally told to me I was so disappointed. Not in my daughter, but in the failing school system my daughter was placed in. She is now in a free public school where she is much happier and much more accepted than in a 14,000 dollar school where she is being treated like an outcast and a freak by almost everyone. My disappointment is immeasurable and my daughter is traumatized. So thank you, PCA, for the amazing experience that my daughter received at this supposedly great school with a loving and accepting community.

Seeing a lot of negative reviews on this school and from what it seems, homework is a huge factor and I'm honestly not sure what parents/students expected from an academic school but this is a prek-12th grade school that values education in a christian learning environment. If a student can't handle the homework load then I would recommend another high school. I would definitely agree it's more than other schools but certainly not impossible. A lot of classmates I was with struggled with the homework load but also had 2-4 hours of social media screen time. This school truly prepares you for the academics of the real world and if you go to CofC, coastal, citadel, or anderson, you'll be beyond prepared. If you go to Clemson, wofford, or furman, you'll be sufficiently prepared. I don't know about Ivy league schools. The teachers balance a professional and personal relationship with a good learning environment and sufficient office hours.

We have loved our experience at PCA. Teachers are incredibly caring, academics are strong and extra curricular a are numerous. My kids have grown so much this year in their confidence, character and learning. Making wonderful friends as well and were very welcomed in when starting new this year.

Pca is really tough on students and really harsh, if your greases slip at all you will be shamed for it and you will be mocked, probably by the teachers. The students arent that much better honestly, there really rude and really bratty, Ive been here for over three years now and they are really harsh on just everything and really judgmental people. The insane amount of homework and insane amount of busy work is super stressful and in a type of harsh environment like this it just makes it worse. The courses are honestly great, we learn interesting information and its really engaging, but that is overshadowed by the amount of work and pressure of the environment, I cant say that anyone will be comfortable at pca. This is not a good environment for any kid to be in. Its very isolating socially and academically, and the people are very clicky I do not see anyone being supported well or feeling supported in this environment.

Not at all if you are not an honor roll student do not go to this school. My child was put down all the time. By teachers.

My child was bullied and no one did anything about it when I reported it to teachers and principals.

Horrible and damaging to my child's self-esteem. I didn't realize how badly she was treated right away and this hurts my heart. I got her out of her and she is doing great as a result.

Teachers give the students insane amounts of homework.

The teachers are very hard on the students and critical if you get one grade lower than an A or B. My daughter worked hard but she has learning disabilities and they were not patient with her when she got less than perfect grades.

Not a support atmosphere for students. The teachers are strict and not kind.

Very happy. 2 children attending. GREAT teachers and staff! Impressed by low teacher/student ratio and quarterly testing that tells parents where their children are in relation to other kids. Very hands on and proactive approach to learning.
