Great school. Excellent teachers and the principal Mrs. Nancy is awesome! She is professional, caring and takes pride in her work. Definitely a wonderful learning environment for kids and teachers.

We love CTM! My children have been at CTM since 2020 and I have been throughly impressed and satisfied with the education and support they provide. I have had experience with only one other Montessori school but this one hands down is top notch is the CHS area and also a welcoming and safe community for our family. Worth every penny!

My son loved CTM for the first two years he was there. Then a lovely teacher departed and it was a miserable experience from then on. When I tried to communicate with the administration about my child’s struggles we were just told we weren’t really Montessori. The administrator is a bullish person who doesn’t listen or seem to care about anyones needs but her own. My son was clearly struggling with anxiety and since we left in the spring he has completely changed. The behavior problems evaporated. Now at another school, he is thriving. My only regret is not listening to her repeatedly saying “I would suggest you look elsewhere for your family.” When I tried to communicate with the Board, they told us to leave. So perhaps that is the desired environment. I for one found it toxic and now that my family is no longer stressing about that school we are much happier. Don’t waste your money to have you and your child mistreated by people you should be able to trust.

Was pleased with the education my child received at CTM, but was not a fan of the administration. I had to remind myself often that my child was not receiving an education from the office, but rather from the leaders inside the classrooms who were nurturing, professional and firm believers and followers of the hands on, experiential pedagogy of Montessori.

Insane. If you’re willing to throw tens of thousands of dollars out the window, then this is the place for you! Mismanaged, zero responsibility taken by anyone, no communication, waste of space, air, time, and money. You’re better off putting your child in a public school or moving to a cave in the desert and teaching your child with stone tablets.

Charles Towne Montessori. My son has been at Charles Towne Montessori since he was three years old. He turns nine in a couple of weeks. Why do we love this school and his fabulous teachers? He was learning the 10x multiplication table at age five and is currently working on square root, cubing numbers, long division and geometry. He has been writing in cursive letters since he started writing. He is writing reports using report mapping theories and understands and can articulate sentence analysis. Though in the equivalent of third grade, he is working on a fourth grade level.

My daughter has the best teachers at CTMS. I am proud to call it the best school for her. They go above & beyond to make sure all the children have the skills needed to further their future in the outside world. Responsibly. Thank you CTMS!

Charleston Montesssori is one of the finest schools in the area around Charleston, SC. It offers the most comprehensive program for the intellectual grow of the students. The teachers challenge the students to grow their ablility to learn both by experience as well traditional Montessori teaching methods. The behavior of the students shine when compared to other schools with pupils of similar ages and the manners are second to none. I would and will always recommend this school to anyone that want a high level of learning for their children compared to other learning institutions in the area.

Charles Towne Montessori is a fantastic school. Everyone who visits a classroom will be highly impressed with the way these kids work! They are all very independent and responsible.
