My son went here. He had a wonderful time and was surrounded by love and the love of learning. He learned so much and when he went to another school I noticed he was ahead of other students. He bloomed not only academically but also with his love of God.
There was a child there that needed extra attention and had hit my child several times. The school stepped in quickly to protect my child and the others there. I knew my child felt safe once they stepped in as the others there child was removed.

We absolutely love Londonderry Montessori!! All of our children have attended here and our oldest in now 16. Our twin boys are in their 2nd year and they love going to school each day. As a former teacher at a very reputable public school, every child who attended Londonderry were always at the top of our class.

Dont waste your time or $ sending your child here if he/she exhibits unsavory, yet very normal, toddler behaviors. All they will do is send them home and make you miss work. We were told that our 3 year old son would be given more time to improve his behavior before being released from the school for biting. To stem the behavior we started taking him to a behavioral therapist. A toddler even going to a therapist blows my mind, but we did it to do our best to make this work. He had one more issue a week after we started his therapy, after 4 days of sticker worthy behavior, and got expelled. This school is lazy and doesnt suffer children unless they are perfectly behaved toddlers. Our son was set up for failure from the very beginning getting assigned to a teacher with little to no experience. Londonderry had made a foregone conclusion before the little guy even got a chance to prove them wrong. He is a smart, sweet boy, and telling him he cant go back to school and see his friends is heartbreaking.

As a public school teacher, I wanted my children to recieve the education, character development, and learning skills that I saw in the Londonderry students. Every teacher I talked to said that Londonderry was the best.

The teacher's are well qualified. I guess "the proof is in the pudding" as they say. Go talk to the public school teachers that get our students. They will tell you the truth.

The day to day environment is "Christ centered". The children are taught Christianity, and Gods plan for us. The teachers guide them through appropriate ways of living.

You will not find a school anywhere that has the level of devotion to the children, and families that Londonderry does. Approximately half of our students are the children of local teachers and principles. That is high praise coming from our peers. They report that the Londonderry students are well prepared and are well rounded, They have a good work ethic and excel in all areas.

This school is wonderful. I attended this school about 20 years ago and I am extremely involved with this school. I will be sending my children here and I have recommended that my sister send my nephews here when they turn 3. The teachers and director are amazing. Loving and strict which is really what children need. Children need structure in a loving environment which is what Londonderry is. I have never seen a group of people that loves children as much as these ladies do. Your child will be prepared to take on the world! Isn't that what we all want as parents? Independence, discipline, and how to be an outstanding child is only some of the things they learn. Their academics program is amazing. I never knew that 3 and 4 year olds could learn everything I've seen them learn. Absolutely remarkable. Also, we can not forget this schools devotion to God. They go to chapel everyday and it is truly a blessing. To make a long story short my children will 100% be going to this school. And I pray that you take my word into consideration when looking at this school.

Our child was in this school for 3 years. I had reservations but kept thinking the consistency was best. We paid additional fees for dance and spanish classes, that I thought were great for small children. After leaving Londonderry, our daughter had a very difficult time repeating 5K in public school, as did her friends with which we have kept in touch--the children were completely unprepared. One teacher, our daughter had at Londonderry, was intimidating and impatient (with 3 year olds), one was very good, and the third was unattached--the class was a free for all. The director is overly self confident in her opinions I am sorry to say. Being a little older and wiser, I regret putting our daughter in Londonderry.

At first look this school seemed like a wonderful Montessori option for my child. This school has teachers who are certified through an online program which is not generally recommended for a true Montessori experience and learning environment. This school is okay if you have a child who doesn't have an independent thought or strong will. They are particularly harder on boys who generally have a harder time sitting and being quiet for extended periods of time. The staff was rude and condescending after agreeing to work with my child, specifically after belittling my 3 year old child. They use isolation as a form of punishment and somehow expect children to thrive. Be prepared to miss lots of work if your child does any of the age appropriate mistakes that require discipline because they will just send your child home. The classrooms are tiny and are not a suitable size for a class. Security with the entrance is also a concern because there is nothing standing between your little one and a parking lot since the front office staff may not be there or paying attention. I would suggest picking another school if you don't have a robot child that isn't creative .

My husband is in the Navy. We have 3 children, and have had many duty stations. We were told about Londonderry Montessori in Goose Creek, S.C. a year ago from a friend. The school has a half day program that many people don't know about. I met with Mrs.Tennant a year ago and feel she and the school have been a blessing to our family. I always knew that when son was with Mrs.Tennant he would be safe and happy. At the end of last school year he was tested for Northwoods Acad. and placed in the ten percentage. A BIG THANK-YOU to Mrs. Tennant. We love you.

I was so happy to have this opportunity for my 4 year son to go to this school and I am so sad to have to move away. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teachers, especially Ms. Lavendero and Ms. Strappello, directer, Ms. Dawn Malcolm, facility and the program. When I signed my son up I figured the basic stuff would be taught, ABC and 123's. Now that the school year is almost over, he is 5 and teaching me about the heart and how blood pumps through it, DNA, and he is spelling I am constantly amazed and Thankful.
