My son has been at MCS since he was 3 years old and is now an 8th grader. I am a CCSD teacher and researched schools extensively before initially placing my son at a local private Montessori school. At 3 years old he won a lottery spot and I jumped at leaving the private school for a public Montessori school. Every single day my son has been at MCS has been a positive one. He absolutely loves school. He feels accepted, cared for and is academically challenged. This school is like a family. The teachers are Montessori and SC DOE certified. My son is held to high academic and behavioral expectations. We made the best decision leaving private Montessori and moving to MCS. If you can get in, do it.

My son is always reminding everyone, anywhere we go how important it is to be kind to everyone around us. He learned that at this school.

Our son is in the 3 year old program at this school. He has come home from school every day, happy. The teachers are wonderful and so involved. We're so lucky to have found this school.

Our child began at age 3 and has done so well here. We are amazed how much he has learned in such a quick amount of time. He has loved being there since day 1. The teachers are caring and true educators. I am very curious to hear reviews from parents of older children who attend the school. We are considering having him attend through 8th grade but need a little more info. before making a commitment.
