We had an awful experience at Marrington. We are a military family who loves often and has experienced many schools. We have never felt the need to write a negative review and have never had a poor relationship with a school until Marrington. The lag and lack of support for special needs students is concerning but the admins treatment of special needs children is most concerning. Believe your children, as another review stated, because I heard it happening myself.

The principal appears friendly and cooperative however I learned that she had been treating special needs students with lack of compassion and I heard her talking to one special needs student in a threatening and angry manner. I heard the same from another parent. A student went through several years with minimum interventions and several were not followed through on. Special needs children will not do well at this school - stay away!

My family loves this school and our son's teachers. They are kind and caring, and support our child through learning difficulties.

I had three children at this school and overall we had a great experience. However, one of my children had a teacher that picked on him non stop throughout the year. He is my easy going child and I have never had a teacher complain about him before this teacher and have not since. If your child is coming home crying and consistently being shamed I would suggest moving classrooms because for us it only got worse.

When serious issues arise it can be frustrating getting some staff to take it serious. Over the past year or so there's a sense of disconnect between staff, teachers and parents. The standards and organization slipped this past school year, we all have to work together to get Marrington back to the way it was, especially for the children.

Principal needs to read the meaning of bullying. It all starts with words and if not dealt with can end in tragedy. We have never had issues with bullying at Marrington until this school year, 2016/17.

I absolutely love Marrington Elementary! My granddaughters have excelled in every aspect of their education and character.. As a veteran, I appreciate the honor and respect for our country and it's Military men and women that they instill in every child. I have no doubt that 99% of the children who attend will grow up to be responsible citizens.

Our kindergarten and 1st grade experience has been wonderful! The teachers are absolutely amazing. My daughter has learned so much. I feel blessed that we had the opportunity to be here.

My experience with this school was the worst, I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone despite the good reviews. And pay close attention to your child's complaints, kids don't lie and if they tell the same story 100x, then you know something is up. In most cases I wouldn't trust a teachers side of the story over my daughter's in a million years!

My daughter learned how to read already. From principal to teacher and stuff is so nice and very respectful. I love the way they handle the students. Love marrington Elementary school I give them 10 out of 10 star :)

I agree there is a lot of emphasis on fundraising at the school, but having friends in other districts has proven that this is the case across the board with the schools down here. I disagree with the lack of encouragement. I feel they do a great job in the classroom here and I really wouldn't want my child attending any other school in Berkeley County.

Our family finds this school to be very disapointing. They seem to put a heavy emphasis on fund raising and very little on encouraging children in the classroom. I am not sure the school can improve when it teaches to the tests.

I couldn't be more satisfied with this school. All the staff cares about the children from the teachers to the principal to the kitchen workers. They not only teach our kids the academic requirements, challenging them and bringing them to a success which baffles me, they are also teaching fundamental values such as how to handle arguments and so on. I wish I could take the school with us when we pcs.

Marrington is a Wonderful school! My youngest daughter started there in the middle of 2nd grade year and it didn't have any problem with adjusting to the school. They made her feel so welcome and comfortable. Teachers are very caring and helpful. Mrs. Webber the principal is Awesome! So, sweet and always willing to help in anyway she can with any issues or concerns you might have. We were there for 2 years and husband just separated from the navy and we had to move and hated to leave. My daughter and I both cried on her last day at Marrington as we walked out the door. Amazing school

Marrington is a wonderful school. The teachers are amazing when it comes to teaching and guiding the children they really have a passion for what they do and it shows. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for the office staff, rude, rude, rude...

Pretty packed to the rim classes but the teachers did their best with what they have at the schools there. My kids loved the classes, teachers, and making lots of military friends.
