Was apart of the class of 2018. Wasn't a bad experience. The students were a little cliquey, but feel as if that was the norm for really any high school. That being said, I personally had a wonderful experience both academically and athletically. Social life was active as well.

My experience at stratford quickly went from a 7 to a 2 within 3 years of being there. While walking the halls you can tell that nobody is happy to be there, classes are so unenthusiastic and arent engaging at all, our school spirit is very superficial and forced, they only fund sports and things that dont really effect us, the teachers are visually miserable and the administrators and staff constantly seem to scout for trouble, students and their wellbeing are not taken seriously especially with the multiple gun threats, ever since the staff was changed the school just has been on a downward incline and I honestly am not excited whatsoever to return next year for my senior year. The school is also disgustingly roach infested. Theres plenty more to criticize but thats only naming a few.

We moved from out of state and my ninth grade daughter was doing well especially during the pandemic and online learning. Within two months of online learning, she was called a racial slur. I immediately contacted the chain of command via email and then called and talked w/one of the asst principles for her grade. I was assured that this type of behavior was not tolerated. Needless to say, the situation was immediately addressed as the student was not online in class for several days. I was glad that a situation like this was not taken lightly and after overcoming this hurdle, my daughter has continued to excel in all classes. During the pandemic, homework is rarely given and in some classes, watching videos has become mundane. The teachers are pretty responsive considering the circumstances of teaching to online and traditional students at the same time. If we stay in this school district, we shall see how tenth grade goes.

As a Stratford Alumni (1990)- I am proud to have been a student at this school. An 8 out of 10 rating aint bad. GO KNIGHTS!

I am a parent of a Stratford graduate. Also, my youngest child attended Stratford until she went to the South Carolina Governor's School of Science and Mathematics. My children were under the old administration. Even back then the Band didn't have much money. The football team and the band have more expenses because they travel so much. The cost of travel has gone up a lot. With the country in such a mess financially no one has a lot of money. Academically Stratford has always been at or above the National average. My daughter was accepted at every school she applied to. She graduated from a private school up North who gave her a full ride scholarship. Her graduation class at Stratford had kids that went to Notre Dame, Harvard, Vanderbilt and several went to USC and Clemson. This was the class of children,who when they were in elementary school, they came in second at the World Competition of the Odyssey of the Mind. They missed first place by two points. At that time South Carolina was at or near the bottom of the list for education in the country. There are more schools now than there used to be for the county and state to support. We still follow the school.

I sent all three of my kids to this school and I can say that I have not regretted it for a second. Two of them have graduated with honors and are going on to university and the third one has recently finished this sophomore year. This school is great and the children are friendly and everything. My cousin's kids go to Cane Bay and they do not like it. It's like a twin of Stratford and everyone there hates it. Goose Creek High School is a dirty school. I hope this review helps other parents make a choice on which school to send their children because to me, Stratford High is the best.
