Some of the teachers are more engaging than others. I can feel and sense when my children teachers are really into what they are doing with the students. Making sure the students are actually learning what is being taught. Some teachers are just there for the paycheck and does not really care about what has to be done.

Kindness is the new cool. Some teachers and principal's there are really pushing this to avoid bullying and really teaching the students how to be leaders.

My 2 oldest children has been going here since 2014. Thus far the school is great and the teachers my children has had thus far has been awesome. They really engaged in the curriculum being taught, they made sure my children understood the work, and was always there when we needed help with what is going on. Parent conferences was always easy and understanding. I love A.C. Corcoran Elementary School

My son attends this school. This will be his second year. He was in Pre-K last year and his teachers were wonderful. They were informative about my son's progress throughout the school year. He will be in Kindergarten this school year and I have heard great things about the teachers. Every parent wants the best education for their children. I am a firm believer that I must also do my part in my son's education to make sure that he is not only on track, but learning and obtaining information properly. I love this school so far.

The current principal is not personable and does not engage with the students...the overall staff seems miserable.

PARENTS BE AWARE. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. Why would a kindergarten teacher want to withhold food from a 6 year old? This is supposed to be punishment? What is wrong with these teachers. Does this kind of action make them feel empowered? My son is the minority in his grade and it disgusting to think a child is being bullied by an educated adult. This school system should be ashamed of themselves and clean house and get these cold heartless so called teachers away from innocent 6 year olds. I just thank God that the school year is almost over. This school system has now put a heavier burden on our family because there is NO WAY I will allow my child to attend another year of what is clearly child abuse, and I'll have moving expenses now to find another place to live. Its such a shame that the Principal, fellow teachers and the Board of Education look the other way and pretend that these actions are not happening. How about start putting our children first!

If you want a positive outlook on this school you may need to look elsewhere. There are very few teachers including the principal who are positive about making this school a better place for children. My children are the minority here and they do get bullied on a weekly basis. They are told by their teachers that they shouldn t tattle, so nothing gets settled. My youngest's Kindergarten teachers yell at their students and reflect on the students in a very negative manner. My 2nd graders teacher Mrs. Ferguson is an extremely well rounded, positive, and patient teacher! She and the few other teachers that try to help this school are the only thing good about it. The school in general starts 15 min to 20 min earlier than any other school and they seem more focused on getting kids to school on time than dealing with negative behaviors that keep my children from learning in a safe environment.

This place is a poor excuse for a school. Their entire staff is unorganized. This is my sons first year in their kindergarten program. School has started since August & now here it is almost October & my child hasn't come home with homework not even ONCE. Instead he comes home with puppets he's made from paper bags. There are about 38 children in one classroom. This school is HORRIBLE point blank period.
