Disabled children are pushed out because general education teachers do not or can not handle their needs. The District supports this so there is no recourse. Special ed teachers are not given full support or recognized by administrators. Special ed kids are not included in things as simple as their news letter or special events. Their “inclusion” initiatives actually work the opposite way because the kids are not supported in gen ed classes to help them stay there. Definitely agree disabled students are more likely to be suspended at this school because administrators do not want to look into the true cause of behavioral issues. The just want to document it and use this to move them out of their school.

Homework for all students is Reading for 20 minutes. No math, no science or social studies. No papers sent home to show what they have been working on so parents know how to help.

Administration does not listen to parents when they even bother to return phone calls. Trying to get in touch with the principal is nearly impossible.

Terrible. Nothing but problems since day one.

The school pushes them to the next grade with no real academic support.

They walk a lap or get a parent note sent home.

They are extremely lazy. They are only present for a check.

The school has a serious bullying problem.

Both the principal and assistant principal see no wrong in the way the school is ran.

I was considering putting my granddaughter into a private school until I spent time at Pepperhill with some of the staff and visited the classrooms, then I decided that they offered just as much as a private school. Although the class size is a little large my granddaughter has really grown with the programs offered here.
