My child is in his second year at Stono Park. I have really appreciated Stono Park and found it to be an excellent school. It is obvious that the teachers and staff here work tirelessly to benefit the students and create a good environment. I am very, very impressed by how much they go above and beyond to do special things like the evening events with families (back to school wellness fair, Candyland themed math game night, around-the-world themed literacy night, student performances, board game night, bingo night, etc.). My child likes his teachers and class mates. On the first day of Kindergarten, he was so nervous (of course!), but on the first day of the next school year he bounced out of bed and exclaimed that he was excited for school! I have seen how being at Stono Park has helped him be excited for school.

One word AMAZING!! My two oldest children attended Stono Park who ate now 26 and 24. Now their little sister attends. I wouldn't choose any other school over this one.

My grandson attends this school. All my other children and grandson used to attend Oakland Elementary, but they did something with the district lines. This school has a lot of parent involvement an activities for both the children and parents to work together. Everyone is always Pleasant no one is frowning and the school always look clean. My grandson enjoys Miss Jenkins class and look forward to attending daily.

Stono Park is the true definition of a neighborhood school! They make everyone feel welcome and the environment is one that feels like home. All staff speaks to each other every time they see one another, and the students love hugging both past and present teachers. The teachers and staff truly care about the children and do their best everyday to create a safe and loving learning environment. 1000000% recommend this school!

I have been teaching at Stono Park for six years now and I can truly say it is a joy and a pleasure. Stono Park feels like family, when you walk through the door you are greeted with a smile or a laugh, the energy here is contagious! Students here are happy to be here, we have genuine relationships with our kids and even our families. I love coming to work everyday and getting to see our students thrive and grow in their learning! If you're on the fence or want to get an inside peak at who we are I always recommend joining us for one of our family engagement nights or even the Art show, we would love to have you!

I love teaching at Stono Park Elementary School because it truly feels like a community rooted in care, growth, and possibility. Every day, Im surrounded by students who bring curiosity, creativity, and resilience into the classroom, reminding me why I chose this profession in the first place. Their eagerness to learnand the joy they show when they accomplish something newmakes even the busiest days meaningful.

What makes Stono Park especially unique is the culture of support among staff. My colleagues are collaborative, dedicated, and always willing to share ideas or lend a hand. It feels like were all working toward the same goal: helping every child thrive. That shared commitment creates an environment where both teachers and students can flourish.

Our schools leadership also plays a huge role in why I love being here. They listen, encourage innovation, and genuinely value the voices of educators. Because of that, I feel empowered to try new approaches, tailor learning to my students needs, and continue growing professionally.

We have been very impressed, even surprised by how impressed we are, at the quality at Stono. We originally only planned to send our child there for a year, and now we plan to have our child stay there. The teachers, the administration, the facilities, and the engagement with family have all been great.

We are so lucky to be zoned for this neighborhood school and have attended for the last 4 years! The staff is so supportive and knows all the students and I can personally say the staff is wonderful at handling struggles such as mental health and being overwhelmed! My son loves his teachers and enjoys the events hosted here! Please consider offering more support inline with what other choice schools are receiving so our students will have the same opportunities!

I have a rather unique perspective of Stono Park Elementary. I began my teaching career at Stono Park and eventually transitioned to school administration. After serving 30 years, I "retired" and returned to Stono Park as a teacher. I also live in the neighborhood around the school; my children attended school there as well.

The teachers at Stono Park see the value and impact of the work that they do each day. They enjoy working with students and strive to meet student needs as "whole" individuals. The school administrative team has a strong vision for our school and strives to create a positive impact in our community. Stono Park has many supports for students and families that are readily available. The school genuinely seeks to build strong partnerships with families and community members.

If you are seeking a warm, inviting school with high expectations for student learning, Stono Park is the school for your children!

In my brief time here at Stono Park, I am simply amazed how the administration, faculty, staff and community works together for the educational growth and development of the total child. Stono Park is a wonderful neighborhood school! Our visitors often comment that we are the "hidden gem" of West Ashley. We work hard to create a school culture that is inviting to everyone. Our family events are top notch and we consistently receive positive comments about our instruction and student engagement. We've been very impressed with Stono Park Elementary in every way! Our daughter enjoys going to school everyday and loves all her teachers!!! All teachers and staff at Stono Park really seem to enjoy their jobs and interacting with the children. When it comes to learning, it could be more hands-on stuff with kids and not just them working on tablets kids arent being sent home with homework. I asked my kid what they do most of the day they say theyre work on the tablets.

Stono Park Elementary is a little gem that shines brightly with exceptionally skilled and qualified teachers and staff who go above and beyond the call of duty. Each and every day our teachers strive to ensure our students receive the best educational instruction possible. As a smaller school, our students are able to take advantage of more one-on-one and small group learning sessions, extra help when needed through tutoring, along with fun and enriching activities to encourage our students to learn, grow, and succeed. Our students are advancing in leaps and bounds educationally. Our attendance is growing because students want to be here. They feel safe and comfortable within their school. Stono Park Elementary is an amazing school with a great community built on relationships, collaboration, and celebration. At SPES, we celebrate scholar's accomplishments through quarterly PBIS celebrations, acknowledgment of character traits displayed each month, and their academic success all throughout the year! Students are eager each morning to come to school and grow a love for learning from all of their teacher's at Stono. We have amazing features/additions to SPES that many schools may not have such as a sensory/outdoor classroom, gardens, clubs, student council, etc. I encourage families near by to schedule a tour with our amazing parent advocate Mrs. Alter to come check us out!

This school is a horrible school the teaching is horrendous and you cant learn in the environment they provide and I went there for 4 1/2 years and it definitely had a toll on my mental health DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Stono Park is a school that loves and supports children and families first and at the same time fosters excellent teaching. It is rated as the highest scoring school with it's demographic is the State of SC. This school makes lemonade out of lemons everyday and has a great time doing it. Gotta love the Dolphins!

I love that this is a small school, all teachers have many years experience (no first year teachers), & the students are a great group of kids. The teachers & staff are friendly & warm. I'm excited for a new school & increased population that will add some diversity & opportunities.

I have been trying to get my child out of this school since the beginning of the school year. Last year I felt that the teachers and administration cared about my child and his progression and that we had formed a good working relationship. This year has changed my mind entirely. No interest in parental input. as well as a complete disregard for child's individual needs. Sink or swim. This is where and why those who struggle fall through the cracks. Oh, but they have great test scores... ever wonder why?

My child attended the Child Development program at Stono Park and we absolutely loved it! The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive to the needs of the children. The principal is highly involved, effective and approachable. This school is a little-known gem in West Ashley.
