I am currently a student a Moultrie. Many of my teachers (and other teachers according to my friends) are incredibly rude and disrespectful to students. I have been told to shut it by my teacher almost every day. The teachers genuinely dont car about bullying at all. Most people at this school are extremely anti-LGBT+ and anti-furry/therian. Also, fewer but still some people there (including teachers) are sexist and racist. The amount or work they give is unheard of. I have cried for hours because of lace of time to do things I enjoy. I have depression and Moultrie has only made it so much worse. Im going to be honest I have never cheated on school work before but Moultrie made me. There are many unfair punishments but the kids who deserve them (homophobes, racist, sexist, bullies) dont get almost any punishment. You also cant go to the guidance councilor bc your parents will be told about your privet conversation. Many teachers have stolen from kids and nothing was done about it, teachers have been reported and nothing has been done. The only good thing about this school is the nurses, they actually help you and are kind. In summary: Moultrie is a horrible Nch where people go to suffer for 3 years or more. I cant wait to leave.

I HAVE DETENTION TODAY FOR ASKING TO GO TO THE BATHROOM

If you're looking for a school, Moultrie isn't the place to go. I'm currently a 7th grade student, and I've seen it all. First, Moultries teachers do not care about students mental wellbeing whatsoever. All they care about is if you get the work done. Speaking of work, they give you so much, in a very short period of time. The grading system for the work is also very unfair. One low grade or missing assignment could bring your overall down up to 45 points. The only good thing about Moultrie is that you can go see the councilor any time. The downside of this, they don't do anything to solve the issue. They also tell parents everything, which I understand needs to happen, but some students have a bad home situation where it would be unsafe for their parents to know. Also, the students are horrible. Many students that can't afford as much, are in the LGBTQIA+ community, or dress differently are treated as if they aren't still a person. I've personally heard things about me that I didn't even know could happen. Overall, Moultrie Middle School hurts your child, mentally, and possibly physically if a student goes too far.

I do not recommend sending your child here if you treasure their mental health. Bullying is incredibly common and I rarely see anything done about it. The food here is also awful. I have received over four spoiled mild and the food is often inedible. The standard for students is completely set by other students and is unfair. You are bullied if you dress different, identify different (LGBTQIA+), or even act different. This school has ruined my self-image and I have changed so much about myself and have so many personal issues I deal with now its crazy to me. Ive heard that I do horrible things to myself from others that I dont even know, not to mention getting involved with drama that I never interacted with. I have been followed outside of campus by students who make fun of me in school. I have also been humiliated as a way of bullying by many students. Long story short, I and many of my friends have been treated terribly here. Dont get me wrong, there are many amazing teachers who I would love to have again. However, the school system is also terrible. Grading is another story, but the amount of homework assigned is burdening for someone as young as me (11-14). The teachers often forbid students from going to the bathroom for no good reason other than Im teaching. I appreciate the fact that you are allowed to visit a counselor at any time, but often the counselors treat us as lower beings. There are several articles online about this. I do not mean any ill feelings toward the counselors, but some of them act like a simple apology from a student that has done horrible things to me will solve the issue and did not consider my feelings about being stuck in the same room as them. Overall, I think mental health should be a huge priority here as many students have resorted to terrible things because of it. I am an 8th grader here and cant wait to leave, in all honesty.

Awful. I was a student here. The teachers dont care about us at all.I broke my ankle and the math teacher would not let me go home and made me walk on it for the whole day.they also will not let you use the bathroom really.and if you ask they get mad at you and most of the time make you wait till recess.the lunch there sucks.it is all expired and an edible I feel bad for the students whose parents cant afford food for them because thats all they get to eat. Also, I got my phone taken away for calling my mom because the teacher wouldnt let me go to the bathroom and the teacher took my phone away and lost it and I still dont have a back they are super unfair about dress codes like my friend had ripped jeans and they werent even that ripped and then theres this boy whose jeans were super super ripped and you could see his underwear and the teacher said well hes not a distraction.they give us so much work. like I wont have so much homework I had to stay up till midnight and I didnt get enough sleep and the next day at school I fell asleep in class and the teacher called my mom and yelled at me. also, the school never gets clean. The bathroom always smells bad and the teachers dont care if youre getting bullied, the students there are awful and mean. And they dont care about us.I got yelled at for having to use the bathroom at lunch.DO NOT GO HERE

Moultrie has high standards for academics and dress. If these standards are not met, there are consequences. This is a good thing! My two Moultrie students have had to miss recess for small infractions. They then corrected their behavior or tardiness and carried on in the manner in which was expected of them.
Teachers and administration have been responsive to all of my communication. My two have never complained about the food or the bathrooms. I can't speak for SEL other than it appears to be on an as needed basis rather than a school-wide daily therapy session based on the changing, divisive political climate.

I absolutely do not recommend the school. The teachers do not care about how the students feel. They are not heard one bit. The dress code is awful and uncomfortable. I have seen grown men teachers look under people's skirts. At this point, Moultrie has been sued about 2 times. There are some teachers here who care but don't do anything about how other students treat you.

This school is horrible, the teachers are like a month late to put in grades. The food is not good and the bathrooms stinks, although the janitors are nice I think they need to do a better job. There is so much bullying Ive seen in this school, and teachers do absolutely nothing about it. You get recess detention for basically anything you do that the teachers dont like. Recess detention is where you have to face a certain way and stand in a line in the sun for about 20 - 25 minutes. The teachers dont really care about your grades. I transferred in the start of the school year and they never told me what I needed or what I had to have for classes. I only have about 1 nice teacher that had to leave early due to family reasons. The substitutes dont care what you do and will let you go on your phone if they like you. The teachers arent helpful if you have anything youre confused on, most the teachers are annoyed the second you walk in. Teachers dont do anything about bullying or try the least amount to stop it, the most theyll do is send a kid to BIC, BIC is where you sit in this room and do school work
Until end of the day, or when they decide youve had enough. Overall this school sucks, and youve been warned to send your kid here

Moultrie is a complete and utter mess. Please do not be fooled by the positive state ranking, or what the school has to offer Academics wise. I promise you, if you decide to send your child to Moultrie, they will not flourish and they would be better off somewhere else. For starters, the children there are rude and harsh to each other. Bullying as well as public humiliation are common. In Moultrie, the environment breeds you to micro-analyze everything about yourself, in fear of what others think of you. It's commonplace for teachers to subject the children to scrutiny and even mockery for small behavioral infractions. Furthermore, the dress code is strict and heavily enforced. Women attending the school are led to believe that they're being too promiscuous if their wearing anything that doesn't align with Moultrie's strict, detailed, and often confusing set of dress regulations. Students at the school are led to believe that they're inferior if their interests, beliefs, or hobbies don't align with what the students and staff view as acceptable. To summarize, while Moultrie offers a lot academically - it's hampered by the fact that it's essentially a breeding ground for self hatred, depression, and lashing out. Please proceed with caution if you're considering enrolling your child. Don't let the state ranking fool you.

This school is horrible there is so much bullying and they dont do much I never feel good about my self in this school and the rules are stupid and there is people cursing in six grade and the teachers hear it and do nothing . But this school has changed me in the worst way ever people just care about them self and the students dont get to wear what they feel comfortable in and the teachers get to wear what they want and it is never fair and you have to pay for everything in this stupid school there is just the fewest nice teachers and a lot of really mean horrible teachers that said you did something and you didnt. And another thing is that you cant really eat in classes when you are really hungry in 7/8 grade even 6 grade the bathrooms are nasty and musty I am a girl and I always feel insecure about myself because everyone is looking at me.

Moultrie is horrible.
Let me list some of the reasons why from a recent alum:
-The food is moldy and disgusting
-The bathrooms are grimy and unkempt
-The staff are rude
-Bullying is a common occurrence and never gets addressed
-Humiliation is one of the most common forms of punishment
-People treat others badly
-The lessons plans in most classrooms are dull and unengaging
-If you are different, people will not hesitate to make fun of you or alienate you
-Teachers are grumpy and strict
Please don't go to this school!

I would not recomend going to this school. We have so many rules for literally everything and if you break one rule then you will get punished by standing on a line outside during the whole recess, which is about 30 minutes. As an example; I was wearing a skirt the other day and a random teacher, who I dont even have, came up to me and gave me a recess detention (stand on the line) because my skirt was an inch too short. We only get to wear skirts and jeans (the jeans cant have holes over the knees), if youre a boy youre allowed to wear shorts. The amount of people who gets bullied are insane and the teachers dont even do anything about it. My friend got her phone taken away and then the teacher lost her phone, its been a month and she hasnt gotten it back yet. The teachers are also really rude and give our way too much work for one day and then expect us to just know it all.

Moultrie is a mess. Don't get me wrong, I have great teachers but other than that it's just a mess. I get bullied for no reason and the food is moldy and 6 days old by the time we get it. The rules are like a dictatorship and the dress code is ok but the uniforms are so ugly. They are also too strict because they will give you recess detention just for being late to homeroom. The school took 5 months to finally address the bullying that was against me. I have thought many times about moving schools but the county makes it soooo hard. The school also rarely spends money on the students and only on the administration+. The teachers are usually in a bad mood because they don't get paid enough. I do NOT recommend coming here for future students.

A lot of people here are mean. The teachers dont care for the students and dont listen to them. Some teachers are good tho but theres at least only two nice teachers per a grade. The popular girls there are ridiculous because all they want to do is pick on you no matter what you do. I had a teacher who kept me in the classroom when school dismissed and then I ended being late to my practice because after she let us go from which seemed 20 minutes I had to walk all the way to the car and then we hit traffic so I was late. The only nice people Ive met are the lunch ladies and my friends. They are really unfair to students. There is this new thing called, The line and if you forget something (Ex. A pencil) They will call you in front of the whole grade and make you stand on a line in the middle of the field and watch other kids play and smirk and laugh at you when they walk bye and the teachers dont do anything about it. I dont think humiliation is a good punishment it can be very bad for a kid.
The school food is kinda good though I like the orange chicken

I do not recommend this school to anyone looking, most of the teachers are nice but the school environment and rules are terrible. in my opinion they give out too much work to handle and get very upset when you cannot complete all of it by the due date and make you sit inside for lunch and recess. Most of the staff members do not care at all if you have poor mental health or are getting bullied you are always told that you should "just ignore it" at least that is what i was told. The school food is very bad things such as moldy olives, moldy fruit, pink chicken, and expired milk were a regular at this school, and when i would tell staff they would tell me that it "was just fine to eat" when that was clearly not the case. Some of the teachers can be very discouraging saying stuff about how they "hate teaching this class" and other stuff similar. And since the school does nothing about bullying and harassment the kids there will be so terrible to everyone, especially if you are a quiet kid or LGBTQ+ the kids there called me many names and slurs and made me dread coming to school and having to do work. This school made me feel discouraged and not enough due to the amount of work they give in such a short time it felt almost impossible to finish a weeks worth of work i also have ADHD which made it especially hard for me. This school made me very upset and was the reason i got into therapy. It seemed as if the staff only cared about your experience if you were a popular kid. Now that i am in a new more supportive school i have found that it is much easier for me to learn and I have become happy to wake up and come to school, my grades are much better and I have a lot more confidence than i ever did at Moultrie Middle. so if you do look into this school please take what this all into consideration and if you are currently in Moultrie middle you can push through, high school is so much better

I would not recommend this school to any future students who are looking for a middle school. Some teachers are good but others not so much. I had a teacher who shouted out my grade in class (I did not ask them to) and I got embarrassed. The dress code is ridiculous where most girls where very short skirts and are aloud to but are not aloud to where leggings and sweat pants. My friend got bullied and we told the principle and he did nothing about it.
I here and see groups of girls (and sometimes boys) whispering and pointing at me and my friends and it feels like we did something wrong but we didn't . I have a hard time learning at this school and it makes me miserable and sad.
Thank you for reading.

the school itself is good and so are MOST of the teachers but some not all students are judgy and discriminatory even one slight difference from them and they will imeadetly start bullying whispering pointing starting rumors ETC my point is that most students are very harsh and if your lucky enough you will find some nice people but sadly most of the nicer and less judgy people get bullied I have a friend who is getting bullied we have gone to principals and guidance counselors basically anybody who could help but nobody did ANYTHING AT ALL the student who pushed, insulted her and even threw things at her didn't even get a call home NOT EVEN BIC it honestly angers me so much this school dose ABSOLUTELY NOTHING when it comes to bullies! non the less this school puts up a good facade about how they will help stop bullying ALL LIES! on top of that, we have an absurd amount of tests and quizzes so much that we have at least one quiz per week in EACH class! the rules are weird and unnecessary like not being allowed to use backpacks don't even get me started on the dress code like seriously does it really matter if my skirt is one centimeter above my finger? most boys wear short shorts and nobody says anything but when a girl does it she will get a call home or go to BIC if a girl wears jeans ripped above her knee she will also get in trouble I don't know about you but this definitely sounds like a sexist dress code to me! lastly, we have to sit with our homeroom at lunch which means if your friend is in another homeroom you can sit next to them in the cafeteria food is horrible uncooked meatballs and moldy salad I definitely recommend bringing home lunch. the bus has gotten into crashes with other busses/cars and will not show up when it's raining the school build is nice and has good resources when it comes to things like art as well as have days where you can buy icy's or events with food trucks which are very fun but that's about it overall personally if I had a special needs child i would not put them in this school I am not a special needs child but I have heard they get called mean things at this school so I wouldn't take any chances one thing I haven't seen is people of color people being bullied.

The teachers (Mrs Kuehn, Mrs Baker, Mr Hall) are awesome. I do not like this school. They are strict on everything. They recently banned backpacks to carry to class. This makes no sense whatsoever. This is the only school with a uniform and will cry like babies if you dont wear something that says moultrie on it. The dress code isnt fair. Most boys pass through with incredibly short shorts, but girls MUST follow that it is distracting if my skirt is a little above my knee This school pays more attention to what you wear and the length of your shorts or skirts. Students will bully anyone who is different, (LGBTQ+) and admin shows zero concern. Guidance counseling is terrible, too and are very nosy. I dont recommend this school.

I have no friends and the guidance counselors are no help. I walk in the Halls alone while I watch people whisper about me. I think I am a pretty friendly person but the students here are arrogant and annoying. The food and teachers are ok, but the students eye me and act like something is wrong with me. I say hello to them but they ignore me. I sit alone at lunch at recess and many people spread rumors so I don't know who to trust.

Horrible. Administration is listless. The principals are all lip no service. The technology is a chaotic mess poorly instituted and confusing even for parents who excel with tech, let alone their kids. One teacher even put in writing that in class students take priority over virtual students. There is no communication from most teachers even if I beg them to inform me. They take no proactive action to help a struggling student until after we respond about failing grades with no warning. We finally had a counselor reach out almost three months into the year. Ive been chastised by both principals more than once for emails that take the tone of this review. Who do they think they are? Im the parent. Not the student. This is another arrogant, overrated example of the failing public school system. And the new principal is way over his head. Ive asked him many times to instruct the teachers to give me a heads up when there are homework issues (incomplete etc) and they simply refuse to partner with me so my son can succeed. This school is a horrible disappointment.

It was awful. I was miserable for the most part, but had some really amazing teachers who deserve more recognition! Mr. Nadobny, Mrs, Robinovitz, Mr. Callanan, etc. were all amazing, so I made sure to tell them that before I graduated from there because they truly are great. The only thing is that the guidance counselors could have been better and made things worse often! Made some good friends, but it was not always the best. My brother also went for a year and loved it, but it doesn't always come out as that impressive. No bullying, overall, just was angry because I was doing super well in CP, but they would refuse to let me go to honors just because of what my records said, it was very upsetting, so I wish that they had given me a chance there in middleschool, instead of realizing it in my last year at the end, I am so grateful for a few teachers though because they finally saw my potential and let me go, if it wasn't for them, I couldn't do what I am now! I am still not as far ahead as I could be though because of not being allowed to take honors until later though, so that is annoying, but ok.

I am in the fifth grade, and looking for a good middle school. I read the reviews, and it sounds amazing. I am an above average student when it comes to studies, and I need a challenge! my current school runs through 6th grade. I am not always treated with respect, in fact, treated like a white crayon (completely ignored). I need a school that can help me achieve greatness. last yearm at my school, I won student of the year... I need a school with a basketball team too(lets say im addicted to it) if this school can meet my expectations, it seems perfect. as long it has a great math and science program, it sounds like heaven to me! (I LOVE school)
