My experience is they worry too much about the length of girls shorts than making sure the students are comprehending the lessons.
If the students are smart and well organized they get the teachers attention but when they struggle and need help they can't be bothered.
They will also embarrass your child unnecessarily so they feel shame on top of struggling.
Oh and if your child gets pushed into a pole and cracks their head, instead of seeking immediate medical help to rule out a concussion they allow them to lay their head on their desk and close their eyes and just shoot you a message that you do not see in the sea of Parent Square messages instead of calling you.

Dubose is an awful school. There are a lot of fights and several kids do bad things. (iykyk) The lunch sucks too. Buses are crazy. There is not enough work to do most days. We do very few projects and when we do, you have to do them at school. I am the type of kid that enjoys homework (I know) and the teachers never hand it out. The fine arts department is good, though. The band program is amazing and so is design and modeling. Most of the teachers are nice.

I love Dubose. Never had any problems that haven't been taken care of promptly and nothing of a serious nature.

All in all I love dubose ! I love all the teachers dearly. It just seems we have a lot of behavioral issues . Also a lot of bullying . I love the class choices dubose has to offer ! This year ( I'm in 8th grade) I'm taking Spanish1 college prep, algebra 1 honors and English 1 honors ! I also have already competed my computer credit for high school ( keyboarding and computer apps) their fine art classes are so cool !!! We have steel drums , chorus , dance , band and strings !!! I enjoy going to this school a lot . Met so many nice people .

I am a student of DuBose middle School. I have been for three years and those three years were the best years of my life. And I have to enjoy it, because I'm leaving soon. There are some bulling issues, but that's for people who can not be quiet and gossips. All the teachers that I had and still have are wonderful and helpful people. All the related arts teachers are really fun and still have discipline. If you are wondering if you should send your kid to this school, all I have to say is that If they are a good student, they will have no problem. Administration are really nice and so is the nurse. The school is very clean and nice.

I am a former student of dubose middle school (2006 to 2007 and half way through 2007) and let me tell you in dubose It was a pretty bad school year you see when i was there i had to deal with constant bullying by the student body and let me tell you if you go to dubose do NOT go into specal ed becuase that is just like spraying a sign saying bully me.teachers i admitt are ok but they could care a bit more about students school life like bullying. and the principal (not sure if he is gone or not) during my year and a half when ever i got sent to principals office he would try multiple things belive it or not he once said i could get arested just by talking a lot in the real world. and that year the new bully policie at schools activated meaning if a kid atacked me and that happened around 12 to 14 times and i fight back defending myself i would get in as much trouble i have one thing to say to that policies NO WAY!!!! What do you want me to get beat up.if i had a choice between getting hit possibly possibly badly hurt and fighting back and tacking BIR i am picking BIR every time. BUT the teachers can be nice and food is decint other than what i listed the school is ok.

We got transferred to this school From OMS due to some bullying issues my son was dealing with from other students. He went from getting straight A's to becoming an avg student at OMS. We have heard great things about the adminstration here and lets just say what we heard is correct. They really crack down on bad behavior and because of that my son loved this school. Although our house is up for sale now which is fine, I don't want to deal with the admin at OMS with my other 3 boys. We have never been more impressed with the teachers wanting to actually "teach" the students instead of making them feel like at OMS they were being bothered. Don't always compare the report card ratings read the parent comments before you choose a school for your kids.
