This is our 3rd year in this school, my son started in Kindergarten. It is a beautiful & new school compared to most public elementary schools in the area. It is located in an up and coming neighborhood called Point Hope. From the administration, teachers, staffs, bus drivers and custodians, there is a strong sense of community here, they care, nurture and support all the students. There is constant communication between the administrators, teachers and staffs. There are SROs to keep the school safer. This is my sons first proper school and it has been a wonderful overall experience. He did encounter some bullies but learned to navigate that and made lots of friends. He is growing each day and looks forward to going to school which is important to us. This school will make learning fun, will foster a sense of community, will prepare your child for middle school and your child will make lots of friends!

We have had a great experience at PSE. The teachers are engaged, compassionate and deeply care about each student's success. There is a lot of parent involvement and investment from the local community. Our kids are learning and growing and we are thankful to have such a good community school nearby.

Very poor leadership and no help with bullies. Youll find all the PTA moms also parent the bullies so they think the school is great. If your daughter is a Tom boy or your son is feminine- really anything out of the box- they will be bullied and the staff will ignore their cries for help. Youre better off homeschooling.

The bullying at this school is unreal. Even the teachers ignored my childs cry for help, and brushed them off.

My student had been bullied from their first day of school. Teachers and staff have brushed off their concerns and said they were over reacting. Once my student finally stood up for themselves they were punished, but not the bullies. We withdrew all of our students after a particularly bad event.

We have been very pleased with this school. Their motto is #makeitbetter and their open door policy lets the parents in to have conversations with the administration and be more involved in most everything they do.

Most school work is done in class which is why the amount of homework is low leaving more time for family, long-term school projects, and extracurricular activities.

The teachers are dedicated in their roles in and out of the classroom. Our kindergarten and 3rd grade teachers attended my children's sports games on the weekends! They go above and beyond to make sure the kids know they are loved and appreciated.

Each month, the school guidance counselor identifies character traits most portrayed in the students of the month for each class. The values and behavior standards are high and expected by each and every student. It is a very supportive school family.

The future is bright at PSE. The 2019/20 principal Ms. King, is increasing our community culture through school events and encouraging volunteer and PTA involvement.

PSE has a gifted and talented identified class that meets weekly. There is tutoring and extra help available during the first part of the school day.

Zero tolerance here, but you must speak up if you see something or experience something as the teachers don't always know everything going on in the halls and classroom.

My kids have attended PS Elementary since it opened and they LOVE it! And I think it rocks too. Kids have excelled in their education and I'm very pleased with the teachers and staff. I highly recommend if you're considering moving to the area.

My special needs child has made incredible progress in areas that we never thought wouls happen. And all of my children now love math and coding. Hands on compassionate community projects they design and implement. Just very impressed with this school and its leadership for the next generation.
