Unique learning experience at University School of the Lowcountry! On Wednesday, student take part on experiences called "learning outside of the classroom" visiting businesses, parks, museums, places of worship, etc. as well as watching/listening to performances and speakers. This is one example that makes USL such a unique learning experience.

University School has been a wonderful fit for our son and our family. The individualized attention to his academic advancement has been such a breath of fresh air. He needed support in some areas and opportunities to accelerate in others. This was championed, not just tolerated. All this while exposing him to foreign languages, community service, and real life experiences with Learning outside the Classroom weekly. We couldnt be happier!!!

USL is what education should be and feel like in the 21st world we live in today - rigorous, challenging, innovative, relevant, safe, positive, and a community! My daughter has been at USL from the 3rd grade to the 8th grade. I've seen her and the kids around her start out kind, curious, and bright, but the school develops beyond that - into powerful advocates for themselves, motivated and driven, socially aware and knowledgeable of the diversity around them, and prepared to be future leaders. And, I can't say enough about the excellence that comes from the teachers, staff, administrators, and older students who model kindness, achievement, perseverance, and support. USL is a gem and I only wish every child could experience the joy of learning and growing as a human being at this school.

It has exceeded our expectations and my son is looking forward to returning in the fall. The leadership and faculty are exceptional. They balance high academic expectations, kindness, giving, and thought-provoking community experiences. Mentorship between students within their own community is a wonderful aspect of the school. It is important to us for our children to learn to form individual thoughts and engaging questions and USL does just that on a daily basis. They offer engaging activities outside of school for social interaction and a wide range of after-school activities. It is all around a wonderful school that cares about teaching to the whole child in an academically challenging environment.

University School of the Lowcountry has been an amazing school for our son. The unique Learning Outside The Classtoom program fosters global thinking and academic engagement. The teachers are challenging, caring, and accessible. The atmosphere is warm and inclusive. 6 years in, we cannot be happier with our childs experience there.
