My kids love Denbigh! Teachers are supportive, understanding and have the experience to deal with many different cultures and learning needs. They are interested. Kids feel as safe as they can these days. Curriculum is there for any child who wants to learn and succeed. The staff is friendly and approachable. Great experience!

Denbigh is one of Newport Newss best-kept secrets. The teachers in this school go above and beyond for their students in the classroom and the community. They are truly a community school that values its students and families. There can be some improvements in parent involvement, alumni involvement, and things of that nature. Overall, Denbigh teachers and staff are some of the most personable and professional in the district. My children have been to other high schools in the district and the will go unnamed and Denbighs Special Education teachers are truly a great asset. Whenever I have had a question or concern about my child's Individualized Education Plan they were diligent with getting back with me and assisting me with a plan or strategy to ensure my child's success.

While the facilities maybe dated the Administration, Staff and Teachers go up and beyond to provide the best possible learning experience for our children. Yes there are some individuals that need to be weeded out, but overall Denbigh is a great school. The problem I have seen over the last four years is the lack of parent involvement in the school and not having a viable Alumni group. You cannot put the entire responsibility for ensuring your child is getting the best education possible when you never engage or
support the school. It takes a village to raise a child.

Terrible and unorganized in every way. Now don't get me wrong at least 10 staff members are good there and thats saying a lot.

Some teachers are nice but I saw an ESL teacher snatch milk out of a boy's hand because he was unsure of the lunch policy not knowing he couldn't have two. I know I should have reported he but Denbighs admin wouldn't have handled it just like they didn't handle me and my friend's complaint about a teacher losing work and not doing the job to her full extent.

Kids run the school. Leadership does not discipline kids or support teachers when they try to. Few good teachers that keep trying but lots of teachers are over it and have given up. Those teachers go undisciplined by admin too.

Our daughter has been at DHS for three years, is in the top 5 of her class taking mostly AP classes and all her teachers have been great! She plays on the tennis and golf teams, is involved in numerous clubs, and is in the National Honor Society. Denbigh has been a blessing for our family and we are so happy with the education provided by the school!

The faculty and staff at Denbigh is working hard to turn the school around. The new principal Mr. Vladu seems to be truly committed to making sure that all students have a safe, productive, learning environment. Many of the teachers are DHS Alumni and have a vested interested in the success of the school. Many go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the success of their students. The school is working diligently to change the community's perception of the school. Are there problems? Yes, but the school is better than it was last year and I am optimistic that it will continue to improve in the coming years.
