Riverside elementary has Horrible teachers and staff this will make a parent home school they are all on the left and have no clue, 80% have never had a real job they are rude and should all be fired and start over.

I really like this school. The curriculum is challenging, the school is very active on the community. My son looks forward to going to school. I even like the bus driver. I’m very happy overal. I look forward to next year!

I do not agree at all with any of the negative comments that have been posted. I have 3 children that go to school at Riverside and I can tell you that I have never met more dedicated and passionate teachers than those at Riverside. They are very involved with the kids in their classes. They stay in constant contact with the parents especially if you are active in your child's education. My oldest son, is now in the 4th grade. He went to Sedgefield for K, 1st and 2nd. He was very behind when he started going to Riverside and now he is excelling in school. The teachers at Riverside have worked with him, showed they care and communicated with me and he loves school now. I cannot say enough about the teachers and staff at Riverside only that if you have a child and they have the opportunity to attend Riverside, you might want to read past the negative comments that have been written and see for yourself.

If you have a child who has any kind of special needs do not send your kid there. They do not care about your child. My son was there for 3 years. He was in the same classroom with 3rd,4th & 5th graders for 3 years straight. They were kids that had behavioral problems even though he was there because he had a learning problem. He had one teacher who was overworked and an assistant that did not have a degree. My son did not learn anything because the whole time the teacher concentrated on behavior problems. He was so nervous in that class that he started to bite his nails and scratch them to his skin. We had an IEP meeting to try to take him out of the school and the worst mistake I could have made that last year was listening to the principal (who did not care) and the case manager and decided to keep him there. I was told that my son will not do well where ever he went. Thank God they were wrong after my son left there and went to the Middle school he made the honor roll and with a lot of hard work he was transitioned to general ed classes.

I subbed at Riverside last year 2012-2013. As soon as I walked in, people stared at me like I had three heads. The teachers were complete snobs and treated subs like we were just released from prison! I was walking down the hall and heard a group of teachers laughing about the names of their subs! Really? It was like being back in middle school with a group of giggly girls laughing about someone's name. My daughter was assigned to Riverside for TAG next year. No thanks! Why would I send her to this school? She attends Hilton now, which is way better than Riverside will ever be! The art and music teachers don't even have classrooms. They go class to class with a cart! Ridiculous!

I do not agree with all of the negative comments. My daughter is in Kindergarten this year and absolutley loves it. The teachers give great feed back on how the students are doing through out the year. They have a lot of special events through out the year, I don't think I have ever seen so much school spirit in an elementary school. They take pride in their students and they take pride in their school. The front office staff is very friendly and very helpful and my daughter's teacher is amazing. My son will be joining her there next year and I am very thrilled about that. This is a great school!!

Run run as fast as you can this school is where they teach your kids to grow up fast and teach them how to hate school .my kids loved school before going here . Thank god they have one more year.

As soon as I walked into the school, I was hit with the horrible stentch of mold, second of all the office handed me only a black and white paper of things that are needed i order to go the school. No brochure was given. The classrooms are 23 kids and 1 teacher and one part time aid. I have a fried whose child goes there as well. When they bring the children to the lunchroom then to be picked up for the day, it was pure choas and no organization. You don't get a chance to talk to the teacher and find out how your childs day went either. No thank you, I'll pass on this school...

I agree, the teachers aren't on their game, they don't give the students time to input the information they get. They are not MBA students their just kids, trying to learn how to roll with the schools. My son is smart and I don't want to put him back a grade because he didn't get the foundation that he needed in first grade, he is in 2nd. I wouldn't bring my child here if I was you.
