This school is on point when it comes to safety and welfare of children. Parents have to download the school/county app to stay up to date and informed on school events, information needed, and how to be engaged in the children learning/development district wide. With 2 children successfully completed from Bruton and 1 more to graduate this upcoming school year, I for one will say that I am excited to be done with this chapter in my life.

Good luck to each and every parent who chooses to have their child(ren) attend this school. Hopefully your family will enjoy the festivities Bruton High School has to offer.

Bruton is the great hidden secret in my opinion. It is small and very family like! I love that the teachers know my children and our family. They care about the students! They also can try almost every sport or extra curricula due to the small number of students.

We LOVE Bruton HS. The classes are small, the teachers are cery attentive and there is a lot of opportunity for kids to participate in sports, clubs, new horizons, AP classes, etc. We have had two sons graduate from Brtuon. Oldest played football and ran track, participated in many clubs & activities. My middle son was a member of the marching band, drumline, sight a& sound, concert band and is attending college to study music. My youngest is a freshman and plays tennis. The faculty and staff are amazing and go out of their way to support the kids! We are incredibly blessed to have our children attend this school. My oldests graduating class was 127 and middle son was 168. They welcome
parent involvement. All the colleges my sons applied to, they were accepted. This is based on hardwork, the teacher support, curriculum and the dedication of the staff to assist these kids ij following their dreams. I cannot say enough good things. We have spent 8 years in this schoo and have 3 more years with our daughter. It is an amazing scholl! A true gem!!

My Son’s course work was steady, reasonable, and achievable. His counselor was invested in his future goals and called me often! We love Ms Reed! He is thriving Engineering student in college now. I am extremely pleased with the education he received at Bruton!

Bruton was great. I am a 2014 grad. I never really had problems, a tri-athlete and it's under 600 students in the school. Athletics try but we go against schools that can choose from 1000+ students and we carry on with our 550 student body. Everyone grew up with everyone so when things happened it was big. It has improved over time and I'd send my child here if I were you. It's small and if they want to play sports they'll probably make the team lol. If they're a standout athlete then they will get looks.

Homework was a do it yourself and if you have questions, then stay after or ask during class (you know how homework is supposed to be.) many teachers, even those who weren't your own would help with homework if it was their area of study which was nice.

If you needed help in let's say math, you could go to another teacher to help you in math. They would all help, you just couldn't be scared to ask.

Most people at Briton have been together since elementary school. (It goes from Magruder/Waller Mill to Queens Lake to Briton). Being said, we all knew each other so of course there's compassion, integrity, & respect. BHS is like a little town bc most of our parents went to the school together so then us, their children went to school together. So everyone knows each other well. And being in a military district, we have people come and go all the time and they usually don't want to leave bc of the tight community we have. It's special.

Leadership is how you make it. I was a leader because of how I held myself. Teachers are fine, of course you'll have a few that seem to be the dumbest people you've ever met, but that is what happens within a group of people.. not everyone will be perfect. Your kid just needs to know how they view themselves and they'll find their nitch.

So I thought it said learning disabilities, not differences so I typed out both lol. Special needs children always got help from what I remember. Their teachers were in the classroom with them andwould take them out to assist them with quizzes or test. There's not many, for lack of a better word for explaining, "hardcore" special needs kids at the school at the school, but the ones that were usually ended up being prom king by students votes. Lovely experiences to make someones day by giving them something they probably never thought they'd get. Happened a year before me and my year.

Learning difference are hands on, hands off. I remember doing projects, watching movies, writing, reading, & discussing in each class so I'd say the teachers try to cover each way to learn.

I wasn't bullied and you would see small things but it was more so "picking" between friends that may esculate some if that makes sense... that is for boys. Girls on the other hand were just girls. Drama lovers just like any other place but not a lot of fighting or cyber stuff. Probably bc bullying didn't really happen unless you did something to someone then they'd retaliate.

I have two children that attend Bruton HS and I absolutely love it! If all you care about is your child's school winning every sports event, you might want to send them somewhere else. That is the only negative thing I can say. They try their hardest but it is a very small school! However I love the teachers, the office staff and the principal. The Arts program is outstanding. My children are both in advanced classes and have excellent grades. They have also made great friends, since they went to Elementary and Middle School with the same kids. It is a great little community and I'm proud to be a Panther parent.
