Five Stars. This is our 18th year of children at this school. 2 have already graduated and they were well prepared for college life and the 3rd one will be as well. Parents appreciate the rigor and discipline so they will make the decision for their children to attend. Kids may not love it but they will be more mature, more disciplined, better educated, and better prepared when they leave Walsingham for college.

This year, 2018-19, the teachers are better and more experienced than last year.

The principal/director is fantastic. The school could benefit from a focus on business decisions.

This is a private school not equipped to handle children with learning disabilities. if your child has a learning issue, they should attend the public school where resources are available.

You bully, you are out. You misbehave, you are out. I like that.

Quite possibly one of the worst establishments I have ever had the disfortune of attending. On top of a countless number of instances where the school's administration failed to assist me in any way shape or form, the school seems to pride it self on ignoring it's own flaws and acting like they are something to be rewarded. Also, if you are a minority, don't bother. The theology department alone will have you running for the hills with all the offensive things they have the "teachers" educate their students on. This would include how homosexuality is undeniably bad and you will go to hell for being gay. In addition, one teacher in perticular who still works at this establishment believes the native american genocide was morally rightous. So by all means, enroll at your own risk!

There are gems, but not in the theology department or administration currently. Most of the time it seems like the school will hire anyone willing to work for the least amount of money. Many of the teachers are just out of college and really have no clue as to what they are doing, but act quite egotistical and arrogant anyways.

The administration will lie to you and do just about anything to trick you into spending more of your hard earned money on a sub-par level education. The theology department teaches hate instead of love and rewards answers that involve putting down people of other cultures and even races from time to time.

We have enjoyed our experience at Walsingham Academy (WA). We chose the school because of values and morals. We were greeted with open arms! We, as parents, became involved in the school through volunteering so we could see behind the scenes how things work. We have not been disappointed. We have visited many universities in Virginia and all of them knew of and respected WA's academic rigor. This rigor is reflected on the stats for SAT scores, college acceptance and scholarships awarded. Our children have excelled and pushed to get the best grades possible as well as to participate in extracurricular activities, including volunteering in local civic groups. We consider the Walsingham experience to be great college prep!

I had a great 4 years at WA. I wouldn't trade my high school experience for anything.

I am ashamed to say that I graduated from this school. The administration lacks respect for its teachers- the school's only real asset. The leadership of this school is incredibly questionable, and their policies are ridiculous and inadequate. In addition, if you are searching for a rigorous academic program for your child, this school will not be the best fit. In fact, mediocrity is celebrated within this building. In short, Walsingham Academy Upper School is not worth the tuition unless you want your child surrounded by snobby, dull, and apathetic classmates.

Walsingham is a good school for the average child. However, if you have a child with any special medical needs or any even minor behavior issues, you may find yourself out of a school mid year. As we were told by the schools administration, they are not equipped to handle children with special needs. This school could also improve its nutritional program and safety policies. In my opinion, it was not worth the money we paid.

This school is top notch. The teachers and staff make sure to accommodate the needs of all students, not just the academically gifted. They offer a variety of AP classes and have excellent results on the AP exams. The camaraderie is unmatchable, and every child I have spoken with who has transferred from a public school has only good things to say. If I could do it all over again, I would send my two children to this school undoubtedly.

People at this school have lots of money. There is bullying and not a lot of variety of classes like some of the other public schools in the area. I swear they hired any teachers that would work for abysmal pay. If i could do it over again, my children would not go here.

Walsingham Academy is a phenomenal college prep school that focuses on the development of the whole child - mind, body and spirit. I am a proud parent and have been pleased with the quality of the academic programs and the administration's commitment to the success of the children. Walsingham children are confident , compassionate and well-equipped to excel in college and in life.
