I cannot say enough good things about PCS. The trivium is such an effective and logical way to educate children. The curriculum fosters a love of learning that is priceless. The teachers truly love what they do and care deeply for each student. The sense of community is so special and truly feels like family.

Our child was there for 5 straight years in the lower school, and we always paid in full before the school year even started, but when some bullying was not addressed after numerous times of letting staff know for a number of years, we had no choice but to pull our child from PCS.
Apparently if you're on their Board, or are one of their many staff members that have their own children attend there, or contribute to the school monetarily or by way of your business sponsoring them, your child doesn't seem to matter as much as the students of those families do. They're clearly given preferential treatment with little to no action taken when it's necessary.
It was also very unfortunate that after having our child there for that long, no one on the administrative staff cared enough to ask for an exit type of interview, or even speak with us in person.
We will never have our children attend there, and sadly would not recommend PCS to anyone again.

Tearchers are some of the best that I have seen. This school is not easy by any means but your children will have a great experience and a sound education. Love that Latin is started in middle school.

Love this school. We are thrilled that the children are happy and doing so well. The tearchers are amazing and truly care for the children. All I see is happiness at this school. Very positive and loving environment. Love how they do pickup and drop off as well. Just a great school and the principal always have a smile or kind word.

This by far one of the best schools here in town. The quality of education is high level. They have Latin in middle school and Greek in high school. You completely get your money's worth. The graduates get into some of the best colleges around. The staff is beyond approach. Also , it's great to see many male teachers who indeed are a great influence on the children especially the boys. The music and art teachers are one of the best and extremely kind . The teachers are just great and loving envirmonment.

Great school, but small. Rigor is fantastic. Only issue for us was the lack of ExtraCurriculars or high school science facilities that we felt were necessary for our child to get that traditional school feel. Teachers take great pride in nurturing their students. Highly recommended to anyone for whom the extracurricular and facilities items are not a factor in their decision process.

We are utterly crushed that, due to moving away for a new job this year, our kids won't be able to go to PCS. It is an absolutely incredible school, with an administration and board with a crystal-clear sense of purpose, with teachers who love their students and teach them a jaw-dropping amount of material, with students who are kind to one another and who eagerly engage with the work, and with parents who volunteer and get immersed in the life of the school. The best thing I can recommend, if you're considering schools in Williamsburg, is to call PCS and ask to visit during memory time, and to set up a time to visit a classroom or chat with the Head of School. You'll see the joy the students have in learning and will get a better sense of what "classical" education is all about. And, I promise, you'll be BLOWN AWAY by seeing what the kids are capable of. If finances are a concern for you, know that there is a fund committed to tuition assistance. PCS is a loving, sweet, community, wholly dedicated to its mission. We count ourselves blessed that we were able to be a part of it, and are grateful to everyone there for laying such a strong foundation in our kids and our family.

This school is a loving, caring environment that teaches your child to reach their full potential. The curriculum is superb, the students and parents are friendly, and the teachers are extremely dedicated to your child's success. It is a classical curriculum that works with the natural stages of a child's maturity to teach them in a logical fashion. There is a lot of memory in the early years, but it is not empty, useless facts. The facts learned in the early years are built upon to teach logic and communicate ideas in an excellent fashion. I cannot say enough good things about this school. Visit an open house to see the results for yourself. The academics are above and beyond anything public schools are doing, and the children truly enjoy learning at PCS.
