I am a current parent at the school. The school looks good on paper well maybe not now but in the past it did. The CEO is MIA. He is around for one chapel a year, the kick off zoom meeting and the end of year 5th grade graduation. He handles the money and I don't think the school is his passion at all. The Principal is also the 5th and 6th grade teacher. Her mom who started back teaching this year is the 3rd and 4th grade teacher. She shows up late everyday and the children sit for 2 -3 hours. The 3rd and 4th grade never go outside. There is no library, no science taught(projects, fair- nothing) no computers for students, no STEM. Teachers don't stay. This current Principal is the 3rd Principal in 5-6 years. We never have any interactions with the Principal(no newsletter, no greetings). The weekly newsletters from teachers advising what the kids will be doing on a weekly basis is not consistent. They have no programs unless you count the things that are done during the 20 minute chapels they have on Wednesdays. There is a gym class with no gym and with gym they don't go outside and a music teacher that comes on Tuesdays. The staff is stretched thin and CEO is still MIA. They do love the children and look out for the children and my child can read better than a lot of children their age Uniforms and books are paid out of pocket. I am currently seeking better Christian schooling. The CEO might write a rebuttal that says the school is for working parents etc. and the pandemic presented challenges but I saw some of this before the pandemic. He won't be able to explain the lack the school is showing. I won't mind paying the additional 3,000 at another school. The school does not have a current working website(in this day and age) and it has been down for months and I am not sure they are aware.

I am very disappointed in our experience at this school. To sum it all up, the school could benefit from a new head of school and new principal. They have high turnover in staff, especially teachers. The head of school and school principal are unprofessional and does not represent what this school says it represents. The curriculum is whitewashed and they do not like parent feedback, nor are they welcoming to new families. The administration gives me high school cliche vibes. I knew I shouldve left the moment the school principal told me that the parents that drove Mercedes, were the ones that paid little to no tuition.
For the amount of money that you pay, there arent any resources. It doesnt appear that money is being funneled back into the school. You literally have to pay for everything, including the curriculum. The unorganization is the worst Ive ever seen. I didnt even know who my childs teacher was until the night before the first day of school. I had to research on Facebook the night before to see what she looked like.
The head of school, I believe is the downfall to this school. I was in disbelief, when him and the principal were on social media making fun of a situation and calling me out of my name because I disagreed how they handled an assault! My previous review on Facebook has been removed or hidden. In that review, I included screenshots of my claims. My advice, dont ignore the red flags- they are there in the beginning. Look at their website, that tells it all.

My 4-year old granddaughter started Pre-K in the fall of 2014 as a first-time student. By December, she was writing her first sentence. In addition to learning the 3 R's, she is exposed to Spanish, computer technology, and cursive writing. I am very impressed with their learning methodology, the caring christian environment, and the many extra curricular opportunities afforded to her, such as cheering, string instruments and dance. students. This school provides an outstanding private school education at an affordable price.

I am so impressed with RPCA! My son is 4 years old and he is learning how to read and write in cursive. If you are looking for a quality education, small classrooms, creative programming and an extension of family, invest in Richmond Preparatory Christian Academy.
