Since 2020, things have only been getting better here. Everyone cares and is trying so hard, it's a fantastic environment for our children to be lucky enough to be a part of, especially when hearing from other rps and ccps elementary parents.

I had decided to home school during covid but applied to have my child attend PHSSA and got in! I was really worried about them being behind socially and emotionally because of the time mostly isolated for home school, but teachers and staff made all the difference. Children are so nice as well, none of the reports of physical fights, inappropriate jokes, theft of property, etc that weve experienced at other schools. I love that there is freedom in their curriculum, I know people in the same grade at other schools and so glad my child is learning things that are applicable in the real world - or even, that they are actually learning! It was like I had home schooled on top of school in the years before covid anyway. 10/10 recommend.

Theh don't address any bullying whether it be from students or teachers. Yes their teachers bully.

Very good, far experiences with staff and other parents. There is a real sense of community that definitely improves the overall experience. Very diverse staff and student body.

I love that the school is very diverse and the PTA is very involved. I do think that teachers need to understand that these kids are age 5-11; kids. I believe teachers put a lot of pressure on the SOLS and PALS and expect young children to have the responsibility of high schoolers. My child is in Middle school and is flourishing at his school because the teachers are much more supportive of learning disabilities and giving second chances. I did not hate Patrick Henry but I did not love it either. Honestly, the experience I had as a parent was disappointing.

4th year at PHSSA and just getting better. Great school with low turnover in teachers and support staff.

We have been very pleased with our Patrick Henry experience. Love the dress code and unique education model. There is so much potential for this little school, and parental involvement, while required, is top notch. Many parents choose to go above and beyond the minimum through active participation in PTA and helping out in the indoor and outdoor classrooms (yes, much time is spent learning in the local park). One of our most favorite activities in which to participate is the Friday morning meetings where students (and teachers) of all levels are recognized by their exceptional behavior and school/community stewardship. Talk about uplifting!

Being an inner city school, we were skeptical towards the education our son could receive. Wow. The school is amazing.... He is going back for his second year into the first grade and he could not be happier. He can not wait to attend school every day.
The curriculum as well as the student body is diverse. Children learn how to be children from all walks of life and receive an education in the basics. A parent can decide when or how to supplement as needed.
Yes, there are local, very expensive schools up the street that teach a child to follow their id without ever confronting their ego. However, if you want your child to attend an incredible school with a huge parental base that encourages and donates vast amounts of their toward the betterment of a community school. Then look no further. You are home at Patrick Henry.

This is my son's second year at Patrick Henry and we are beyond pleased with the education he is receiving there. The teachers are great and really care about the students, the curriculum is unique and I love that I am able to volunteer in the classroom and at the school so that I can be a part of his learning experience. Great school!

This charter school it gives children a private education within the public school. My daughter started the 2nd grade a PHSSA today. We are so excited
