Having worked at a number of schools over my career, Lynnhaven has been a breath of fresh air. The entire faculty and staff is dedicated to the success of the young people in their care. The students that I have an opportunity to work closely with are great people. You can see their love of school BECAUSE of the methodologies used at Lynnhaven. If you are searching for a school that will allow your child to explore their passions in depth and truly enjoy learning, give us a call.

Lynnhaven is a small school with a big heart!
The leadership in this school is great, they really care for the kids and their growth and education.
We are so happy we found this school, especially during this pandemic.
They will be moving into a new facility this fall, we are very excited!

Awesome school with a dedicated staff. My child has excelled here. The environment is welcoming and the school is money well-spent investing in my child's future.

Great school. Awesome administrators . Great students.

Great messaging around the school to motivate the students. They have lots of leadership opportunities for a very small school. My daughter has benefited from the positive culture at the school.

Lynnhaven is not a school designated for students with disabilities, so they don't need any "certification." For those looking for the teachers to have that credential need to look elsewhere. It's not that type of school. That being said, my kiddo has anxiety and ADHD. They have given her accommodations to help her. I am completely satisfied.

My daughter has not experienced bullying. I am sure all schools have that one "kid" or "parent" in some cases who can't follow the rules and get sent to the principals office. It's pretty low key in the bullying department at Lynnhaven.

I am completely in love with the school. The principal does his job and is always visible and out in the classrooms and hallways meeting with students and teachers. It's great to see the students come back year after year. The mark of a good school is when students return, which is a beautiful thing at Lynnhaven. The school is accredited, have qualified master teachers, and strong leadership.

Home work is generally given on a normal basis. The teachers are consistent in giving feedback from my daughters experience.

Posted: August 23, 2019

My son and I have not had any issues with bullying from students or teachers.

Homework is over rated, but necessary. Lynnhaven is pretty consistent with homework assignments.

Good teachers. Well qualified. All have masters degrees. It’s not public school, so they don’t fall under the department of education. They are an accredited school, which is enough for me.

My son is in upper school. He is a low key kid, but the school has brought out of him some leadership abilities. I’m impressed with how they do that.

Posted: August 23, 2019

Casey and Johnny are a good team. They work hard and care about the kids.

Posted: August 23, 2019

My son has ADHD. The small classes help him. He gets accommodations for taking tests. The school has been great about it.

Posted: August 23, 2019

It’s been a good one. I’ve no complaints. My wife and I have been here for about 3 years. Johnny and Casey seem to have a good grasp on the kids and parents. Two thumbs up.

What is said and what is actually done are two very different things. Administrators are not certified by the Department of Education. Teachers aren't certified either.

Posted: August 7, 2019

No teachers are certified to teach special education.

Posted: August 7, 2019

No discipline at all. None. No consequences other than a talking to at best. They have a Code of Conduct but it is never used after week 1.

Posted: August 7, 2019

This is a used car that doesn't run sold to us parents by used car salesman who mask themselves as qualified administrators. Ask for certifications, proof, and how many teachers and students leave after 1 year.

Posted: August 7, 2019

There is no "approach." It depends on the teacher and they have new teachers every year.

Posted: August 7, 2019

They have new teachers every year so it depends.

Posted: August 7, 2019

My son said the Head of School never leaves the office. They have posters about character and all that jazz though.

Academically challenging but my son said he is being taught how to learn and think outside of the restricted box. He loves the curriculum and the excellent teachers and Head of School. The very open to parents volunteering. Overall A+ school we are lucky we found this small jewel.
