Coderva is not a school I would recommend to any family. There is no proper SPED program; students who require specialized instruction are placed in general classes without adequate support, which creates constant disruptions and prevents effective learning. Teachers are not given the resources to handle these challenges, and the administration appears unwilling to address the problem.
The school also offers almost nothing beyond the classroom. There are no sports teams, no music programs, no language courses, no PE, and very few extracurricular opportunities of any kind. Students miss out on the well-rounded experiences that are essential to a complete education.
Administrative priorities are skewed toward marketing and maintaining a polished public image rather than solving real issues. Parent communication is inconsistent, staff turnover is high, and academic rigor is lacking. The environment feels disorganized, under-resourced, and more concerned with appearances than with student success.

Theres a lot of potential here but it is absolutely wasted for various reasons, most of which are due to a flawed design. Its located right below a massive bar which hosts events during the school day without telling the school, filling the small parking lot with no warning. Students are selected by a lottery which is not at all weighted by aptitude, leading to a student body that is for the most part completely unmotivated and unruly. It has an associates degree program which is very time and cost efficient, but most students dont take that path because they are either unmotivated or just incapable. The teachers were very qualified and passionate, though Reynolds professors were of varying quality. However, due to the awful turnaround I cant guarantee that you would have the same experience; in my last year only 40% of the initial staff remained, and I was on my third guidance counselor. I also had a poor experience with the administrators, who were consistently rude and condescending.
I tried to keep this review objective, but on a more subjective note, going to this school really felt like a huge mistake and the worst years of my (admittedly short) life. They market themselves very well, in part because they really do excel in some areas, but if they try to tell you that students are motivated, or that they care about their students, I would advise you to not believe it.

This is a great small HS school that focuses on computer science. It gives students individual attention. The school offers multiple pathways( student can just do a regular HS diploma, take some college level courses, or get a full associates degree in computer science along with HS diploma). The teachers are awesome. The school is diverse which is great. The only negatives are lack of a gym , no many AP course work, and also the location is not the best. This school is perfect for folks planning to major in computer related fields and also if your student loves a small intimate setting.
