I went to school here and I couldn't learn anything because of the constant interruptions of other students and the lack of discipline is terrible the teachers and staff do not care about anything that is happening

Some of the issues cited are not with the school per say but with district/state policy. I feel the teachers are very accessible and supportive of students and go the extra mile outside of school hours for sports, clubs and the PTSA. There are a select handful of teens that disrupt and destroy the property. This happens at every public school in this district. Some of the policies prevent serious consequences for students in a school with a high percentage of diversity. In some regard, the foolishness is encouraged by these policies because they have removed personal responsibility. Destroy a bathroom...they don't have to clean it. Skip class...they get a lunch detention that they then also skip. whoopdedoo. It isn't for lack of trying but it definitely feels like a lack of support. We have a larger amount of students and parents in crisis within our community. WA also has some of the highest class sizes in the country so when there are children who act out it disrupts everyone and is more work for even the most seasoned teacher. I enjoy the classes I teach but things could be more efficient throughout the district and policy would need to be changed in order for the parents to feel more secure in sending them here.

Absolutely atrocious. This is by far the worst school my kids have ever attended. There are no mirrors in the bathrooms, constant harassment from student body, lack of respect towards faculty and other peers, no initiative to try and reform misbehaving students, and little action to stop bullying. Test scores are low and the school holds students back. One of my kids should be in algebra next year and he is stuck learning 5th grade math. The school is so behind it makes me sad. This school needs to get its act together. Numerous reports have been made about a particular student and there is no sign he is being properly punished. DO NOT send your children here.

I have listened to my son complain about things to his friends. The teachers call the students out of their names, they don’t give extra help when a student ask, they only call the parents when certain students are acting up, and mainly seek out the black kids. Maybe some of us parents need to start doing pop ups to check in on our children? I want to know what is affecting my child’s behavior and learning!

Please reference my original complaint about unruly classrooms and the way it interferes with my child's learning.

Posted: January 29, 2016

My son complained to me that his classes are unruly and the teachers can't keep the students on task and they are rambunctious and inattentive in class which disrupts his learning. (We moved here in November 2015)
I told him to give it a couple of months and see if his feelings change or if it was a result of after Christmas break energy.
I stopped by the school last week to see how things were progressing. I was horrified at the yelling, wandering and general disorganization and chaos of his class. I am appalled at the situation at this school.

I went to this school 7th and 8th. I loved the school all but Science class. The teachers name was mr. Zezba. He bullied me for two years. Telling me I would do nuthing with my life. That I was worthless. He would take me out side and push me down the ramp and to get back under my rock. If he still works there watch your kids.
