Our students have had a great experience at NT. Overall there are teachers who care and the high school offers many electives and classes for every student. Each student has an option to create their own path towards graduation. There is always going to be the grumpy parent or student review as it takes a village to raise, guide and educate kids. No school will be perfect and kids needs to be taught accountability for their education to be good people in the community. If you live in the area, NT is a good option for your high schooler.

They teach well and want you to learn but as I said in another post some have a "political agenda"

I would give it a five start but some teachers teach in a way leaning towards one political way not an independent

this school is so left wing if you're a conservative, a Christian, a republican or even a political centrist you will be bullied by students and staff. The teachers indoctrinate liberal ideals and allow for no open discussion. Any traditional minded student is ostrisised and discriminated against constantly

I am still learning about this school after my son has spent one year here but the teachers are amazing -- bright, concerned, challenging. The band and music programs are advanced and led by highly skilled teachers. The marching band wins many honors. My son's counselor was excellent as was the swim coach. The actual building is a bit rundown but they are due for a remodel. A diverse student body. I do not have an opinion yet regarding the principal. Parents are involved in the band and swimming programs but I don't know about other activities.
