Our son is in CSI at Marshall and it is the best thing thats happened. He always loved school but to have him say he loves middle school even more than elementary is unheard of. He has friends at other middle schools and they are so unhappy but he feels completely opposite. All schools should have a Citizens science option. It is such an incredible program. The principal is absolutely amazing. So present walking around all the time and always speaking to all the kids. Theres no bullying and if there is its dealt with quickly. It is just such a wonderful school and we are so lucky our son is there. Great school great teachers great environment. Five stars all the way around

Homework is typical for this age and meets expectations.

Majority of the teachers are friendly, nice, and helpful. The staff isn't mind-blowing, but they definitely get the job done.

Standard strategies for developing character. I loved my experience at this school, and I did believe that teachers cared about integrity, compassion, and respect.

Principals and vice-principles are okay and friendly enough. Not mind-blowing, but adequate.

Diversity was good, however, I have little to no experience with how this school handles learning disabilities.

Standard assemblies and programs about not bullying. I did not experience any bullying while attending this school.

Overall, I believe Marshall is a great environment for students. There are many opportunities for extra curricular activities and for students to be involved. I felt safe while on campus.

My daughter had a positive, safe, and well rounded experience at Marshall. Students were very accountable for behavior and academics, and my daughter made nice gains socially and academically here.

My kids have had great experiences at the school, both socially and academically. There are a couple of teachers who should have chosen another profession, but the majority of them are caring, creative, and devoted to the kids.

I like the principal, but he seems to be either unable to control his teachers, or has his hands tied by the district or union, because SEVERAL of the teachers there are REALLY bad, including one who was suspended for saying the "f" word to a student! I would also stay away from the parent group. The president seems to run it with the intention of benefiting her kids, and has special interests that are NOT in the best interests of the kids in the school. If you are lucky, your kid will get good teachers; if not, good luck. That, however, seems to be true of all the schools in the district. Each principal seems to run their schools like their own private fiefdom, with absolute power. Not a great idea for a district that calls itself "world class;" if they cannot guarantee consistency in instruction, discipline, etc., they are redundant.
