This school honenstly was not a great expirience. They do not help the kids with emotinal heal in my experience and of others i know. Another thing is that, and i wont name names but i knew a teacher there who was an adult male and would prey on females. Sooo yeahh super "amazing" school. I did make some friends there though the drama want really worth it lol. So in total if you want to go to school and your close to here i would say you should go there but just make sure that you get into nothing bad through the other kids and that your parents know things that are goiong on. Though ive already left this school i have intel from other people in the scghool such as friends and ex-friends so i still have intel that is up to date.

My review was prompted by the disappointment of the math department. I think the admin needs to look at this department and some of their teachers. her experience at Goodman all 3 years was a nightmare. it would have been better if she skipped the class and me and my husband taught her instead. she got nothing out of it except getting behind. beware if your kid goes here and you may need to helicopter the math classes that your kids take.

My 2 middle schoolers have had such a great experience at Goodman. They have had such caring, kind, invested teachers that I am So grateful for. The administration is on top of things as well. We have had a few, sadly typical, middle school things come up and Mr. Robuck got right back to us and addressed the issues head on. I am thankful for such a great community.

Im also for one that has to deal with it and the consulates try but it doesnt work and if you file a complaint to the principal they ignore till the parent/Guardian comes in person.

Four of our children have attended Goodman Middle School and have gone on to be very successful at Gig Harbor High School. Three have gone on to Universities. We have one still attending Goodman. The faculty are kind, caring, compassionate and their communication with us has been very positive. The teachers seem always available for additional help if necessary and easy to get ahold of by email. We needed to take our child out for a week to attend a family event and all of the teachers were very good about providing the work in advance so that our student would not fall behind the class. The atmosphere in the school appears to be accepting of student in all stages of learning and abilities. Several of the students ran a race with another student that was special needs because she needed a running partner. It was a very nice moment of teamwork and kindness. I highly recommend this school.

I am very happy with Goodman so far! We have been able to experience wonderful teachers with high expectations and lots of guidance. Starting with the front desk, Carrie is one of the most pleasant people to work with. What a fantastic first impression with her at the front of the line. The principal and assistant principal are always walking the halls with students talking with them and providing a fun atmosphere with again high expectations. This school provides a tangible community for growth and learning for our middle schoolers!!! The teachers and counseling department are wonderful at communication! They are always available via email to work with you-the parent-to keep your child going in the right direction. My son loves school for socialization, however, the work part is not his forte. His teachers have been amazing at holding high expectations and always be available with words of affirmation and helpful interventions!! We are very happy with how GMS is caring and partnering with us for the most well-rounded education for our children!

As a parent of an 8th grader at Goodman Middle School, I have been very pleased with the school as a whole. Over the last couple of years, we have worked with the counseling staff and had an amazing experience with Mr. L. Witnessed our child feel like he had a real advocate there. For the first time he participated in soccer as an 8th grader and had an awesome experience. Positive coaching and though a few were cut from the team who were totally inexperienced, acceptance of many athletic abilities. Like ANY school, there are one or two teachers who probably should retire and move on, we have had some frustrations, but I take that in stride and explain to our son that as an adult, there will be some bosses you like and can easily please, and some you cannot. Learn to deal with all of them and you'll be set for life. Have experienced great responsiveness, for the most part, from teachers when I reach out for information about grades or performance. I recall middle school being awful (I did not go to Goodman) and he's having a great experience at Goodman!
