As a 2nd year student in Aylen, it’s not a bad school to go to as long you respect the teachers follow the directions and stay out of trouble, you’ll really enjoy it some teacher can come out as maybe rude or like as if they don’t like you but it’s better to get to know them before you Judge the teaching is great there is extra help available after school to the teachers try to make it so you understand they also ask if you are confused with anything that they can help you although I wouldn’t say they help much with conflict they help with low stuff but not much I would suggest that the school should work on that but the staff is great very friendly fun to talk to the principal is very friendly too amazing people in this school.

This is the worst school to go to. All former pride for this school is absolutely gone. It looks like a prison and the staff act like it too. You feel the unrest when you walk in. That may be why the bathrooms were constantly locked due to vandalism. So good luck going in the short time that they give you in between classes to just find out its locked.
There was constant bomb/shooter threats this year. They acted like it never happened and didnt inform parents (or emailed w/no info). If you asked about it, it didnt happen or there is a current investigation and are not allowed to comment. Not allowed to comment! It never feels safe here, especially when 1 morning there was an attempted kidnapping in front of the building! Again staff acted like nothing happened and if you asked you were yelled at.
The classes are so easy but really what is the point when you're yelled at constantly? If one student acts out or does the slightest thing the whole class is punished. You could just be breathing too loudly and the guard, oops teacher will yell and threaten you.
The lunch line is so long you are lucky even if you get to eat at your lunch break. So many times you have to go without or you shove what you can in and throw away the rest of the food on your tray to get to class. You defiantly dont want to be late to class are you get seriously berated by the teacher.
Lastly not only the staff is unreasonable in logic but are disorganized. They couldnt even get yearbooks out this year because of their cheapness. They took away the graduating class' experience of having a yearbook and having everyone sign it before we all went our separate ways. Not all of us end up going to the same high school with how this district is divided. The staff didnt show any concern for the student. Just sorry. Sorry they dont care about the student experience. No foresight to give us all yearbook paper to staple in later, no big make up day for freshmen to come to the school during summer to get signatures. I wasted money on a yearbook that is empty. No memories- nothing. Just sorry and did nothing.
This school is the worst. They think cuz its part of the puyallup school district they are awesome but there is sooo many reasons why this school is ranked a 2! Go somewhere else, be transfered, homeschool, something this school kills your soul.
