Absolutely terrible guidance and lack of accountability

This school allows girls to be SA and say just deal with it. They dont protect girls. Think twice before you send your girls to the school.

The grounds and school always look well kept. Teachers are always up to date with sending reports and letting us know what is going on.

Most of the teachers are amazing, however the staff in charge of what happens at the school disappoint many. The school does not have a plan to educate the students sent home that have been exposed to the Delta virus. Once a student has been exposed they must leave. Until they have a test saying the child does not have the virus, they may not return to school. Many students are also distressed by the dreadful chaos of attending the school. Due to the excessive destruction vandalism, pilfering in bathrooms, and lack of adequate Delta virus regulations many students are frustrated with the school. Especially with most school lavatories being closed. In addition to this review, students that take the bus to and from school have been kept waiting for hours in the mornings. Due to the late busses students must be dropped off or end up staying at home, unless they find another way. There was an email stating that everyday remaining of this week the school's transportation will continue to be late. What has happened in this school semester is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Many Students, and parents are uneasy thinking the school will not be making the necessary changes.

Most of the teachers in the advanced courses are excellent, with a few exceptions. My experience was mostly with them so I can't speak too much about the general classes. We had councilors on-site, but that didn't always help the students with mental illnesses or bullying. There is a strong arts program, but the sciences lack significantly.

This is good school for it's large size. PHS has excellent teachers and a good location in downtown Puyallup.
