I love Kulshan community!
This has been the best school and academic opportunity my son has had. I've never seeing him improve this quickly, and being so eager to learn! He comes home excited and ready for the next day!

They have the best ways to approach students, and families. They are always supporting any students accommodations to support succeed and reach their goals.

Very good. My son did all three years here. As he got older, he was challenged and was able to complete two high school credit classes in the 8th grade. He was pushed in 7th grade to take a higher level math class, where he did ok, but the teacher encouraged him to apply himself and take Algebra in 8th. He did and was very successful. I appreciate all of the support and genuine care that the staff demonstrate every day at Kulshan.

As kids progress through 6-8 grades, homework is assigned at an appropriate level based on development

There is a team approach for each grade level. This makes it easy to communicate with them because they are all on the same page.

So far my son has enjoyed it. The other middle schools have leadership camp and other opportunities, but I have not seen anything at Kulshan yet. I do think the School Leadership is strong, and that helps foster a positive overall feeling at the school

My son is in 6th grade at Kulshan and he loves it. The school offers many extra-curricular clubs and groups. It's a very supportive and compassionate community.

My son started here at the beginning of 7th grade. Coming from another state and a private school, I was worried how he would fit in with the public school mindset. This school blew my mind. Not only do they offer an amazing art & music curriculum, the staff are all wonderful. Everyone from the Principal on down made our family feel welcome. My son made new friends quickly and has an awesome experience in this school. I feel so blessed my son has had this school experience. Thank you Kulshan!

The parent communication piece at this school is top notch. They use planners to communicate daily and there are newsletters per grade level emailed weekly detailing what students did/will be doing in each class. If a parent doesn't know how their child is doing at this school then they are not paying attention. I have found many of the teachers caring and skilled and a select few (a rarity in any school) interested in getting their students to think and give opinions . . . and . . . teaching the students how to back up their thinking/opinions with sound reasoning and evidence. The school climate and spirit (including students and teachers) is above average.

This is a great school! We love the use of technology with Google Drive, Edmodo, text messages, Skyward. We always know where our kids are academically and are in constant contact with all our teachers.
