The few months that my child has been here has been awful. Unless you have a easy child. They will be quick to make your child an enigma. They will not offer support or try to work with you. Yet if you decide to un enroll they will just about catapult the papers at you to sign. Ive just never met a classroom of teachers who hated their job so much. Yet thought teaching pre schoolers would be easy. I truly hope this principal decides to take her job seriously and do something about this. Instead of using the excuse that head start is a separate program. Thankfully this is our last week here, and my child is thrilled to leave.

They have the greatest Pre School and Kindergarten teachers! They are passionate and care so much as out every child. They are not afraid to step outside of the box to be effective teachers. I really am not a fan of public schools but I have been proven wrong. Mrs Laurie and Mrs Patty are amazing. Mrs Häuser is also anther great teacher. Both of my kids needed early intervention and I could not be happier with the results they have received here!

the bulling is out of control. My son was being bullied in his class, yet he was the one getting in trouble.or moved. When I talked to the teacher about the behavior she made every excuse for the bully and then made my son feel shamed for it. Telling him he's no longer allowed to sit next to the bully like he was the one in the wrong for telling. Why is my son being moved and shamed and not the bully? I brought to the principal and the response I got was great at first but the "meetiing" that was supposed too happen still hasn't... Not only that the lack of response from staff of creeps being allowed on the play ground actually playing with students was appalling. When I mentioned it to the teacher the response was "oh I think that's a parent I'll just tell him to only play with the students he knows." Did I hear that right???? Also middle schoolers were on the grounds cursing/talking about drugs/smoking/throwing things and when I brought that up the response again appalled me. The response was "oh you know middle schoolers," excuse me? No I must not know middle schoolers cause that is unacceptable. Now I'm avoided cause God forbid I ask anyone at this school to do their job.

I agree with the mother who just posted in jan of this year. The bullying at this school is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I have a child in KINDERGARTEN and has been bullied non stop and nothing is being done about it. Bringing up concerns at this school does absolutely NOTHING. As they just get shrugged off and everyone who works there acts like you're wasting their time. The safety at that school seems to be of NO concern as ANYONE could just walk onto the playground from the main street and snatch a child. Or a young child could just wander off. I constantly see school staff standing with in view of parents and STUDENTS smoking like its no big deal. And the office staff STILL cannot get my address or phone number straight even though I have written it down NUMEROUS TIMES and have sat there to make sure it is entered correctly in the computer. A week later they some how have a different addy and number. I would NOT recommend this school to ANYONE and my child will NOT be going there next year.

I have a first grader and a third grader that Go to Arlington and I have had so any problems with the new principal Wendy Pye Carter and numerous teachers. There is constant bullying and the principal just puts the bullied in a room with the bully and makes them both apologize to each other. When my kids switched Oliver from Sherman they year before there was a period of 3 months where they had done the exact same worksheets already. Arlington was THAT behind. The teachers that I have dealt with don't know how to deal with children. Or parents for that matter. There are plenty of other schools in the area that are better. Choose one of those!

We've had 2 really great teachers and 1 not so great one. The new principal is super friendly compared to the one before. She's awesome. I have concerns about the safety around the school. Someone needs to be watching the pick up area. There are too many close calls with the kids and speeders. Nobody says anything to the parents smoking on school grounds. And there was at least 1 small child that wandered off school grounds and ended up on a very busy street.
