My daughter has attended Mason for 2 1/2 years, and I really appreciate the rigor that this school offers. It's not for everyone, I'm sure. They also changed the grading method this year, and that made things a challenge for students because they needed to adjust to a new method. With that said, I have found the counseling staff to be incredibly caring and accommodating, the teachers to be communicative when needed, and the course offerings to be challenging and well balanced. I do wish they offered more arts programs, but that's an issue of funding. Overall, Mason is an excellent school.

This school is not very good, I was a student there and I have Too many bad stories from that school. The teachers there were bad, In 8th grade I Had so many teachers I didn't like. The security guard calls out only girls for breaking dress code. The students were the part I Hated, The reason the Teachers are so strict is because of the students, Bathrooms were locked, Fights happening daily. If you want to bring your kid to This school Please don't.

I feel that Mason was a good school for my children. The staff overall are very knowledgeable and willing to help. There are a good amount that will go above and beyond to help with student success. There are problems at every school and no matter where you are if one is looking for fault they will find it.

Sadly, many of the comments below are generalized and do not apply to the entire school. This school works very hard at keeping the children safe, despite the one incidence that has occurred. Only so much can be done on school grounds. Parents need to take initiative too to make sure their own children understand what is considered safe. I'm also greatly confused by one comment stating "the only thing that they really have on their mind is the bottom line the money". What money? It's like every other public government institution? It's not a for profit place. Regardless, the staff and admin try hard everyday to keep the kids safe and happy. They go above and beyond without extra pay. Make your own opinion before you assume the worst from these comments.

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!! THIS SCHOOL is HORRIBLE kids fight all the time and bring WEAPONS to school and the principal doesn't seem to care much. They treat the children at the school like they're adults and they treat the adults like their children. It's a horrible School in the only thing that they really have on their mind is the bottom line the money.

My child has been bullied regularly and the teachers and administration do nothing. Easily half the teachers are not responsive to email or voicemail.

Despite all of the (inexplicably) extremely negative reviews, this is a great school. Maybe in the past, it did not perform as well- I can't see any other reason for all of these negative reports. As for them being nit-picky about the uniform, it is true, but not to an unreasonable level as suggested. I honestly feel as though many of these reviews are not written on experience- and if they are, their experiences are most definitely not representative of this school. The teachers are excellent, to my knowledge, parent involvement is supported, most of the rules are reasonable, although some could be considered ridiculous, online grades are generally kept up-to-date, and, again, though there may have been below average teachers in the past, they are currently some of the best my student has encountered.

This school doesn't want parent involvement. They think they are superior and don't need to prove them selves or work hard. I've tried to participate in my child's education and the message is clear "Parents are NOT needed and NOT welcome". The principal is useless. If I could afford private school I'd pull my kids out of this school.

The teachers at this school are some of the worst I've encountered as a student. My algebra teacher sits me in a corner by a girl who copies my homework and I'm never called on to answer questions for EC. He assigns homework based on NOTHING he teaches. There's nothing the school can do.

This school is ridiculous for the rules and making the students uncomfortable and getting in trouble for ridiculous things.
