In my child's first Kindergarten class, she was bullied everyday from the first day of school by one child. This went on for months, she missed weeks of school because the administration would not handle the situation. She was eventually transferred to another classroom. My daughter missed picture day because we were not informed in a timely or clear manner. Now they're doing some fundraiser for the school, by a franchise type organization that takes 50 percent of the profits for themselves, offers no products and instead it's "pledges" for "running laps" and uses deceptive business practices; E.G. There are "poster prizes" with dollar amounts, but they fail to mention those prizes are given "by lap" and not by flat amount earned. They are also throwing out additional prizes at the last minute on a nightly or weekend basis, E.G. one class received a "donut party" for having the most participation in a single night, whereas "donut party" is also a top poster prize and is the equivalent of any other classroom raising $4800 on their own. (Although the poster only says $160 and fails to clarify $160/lap.) My daughter is bored, finishes her week of homework in a single sitting in about 40 minutes, so clearly is not being academically challenged and learning no valuable life skills. E.G. This fundraiser teaches children to beg for donations in exchange for effectively nothing, no physical product such as wrapping paper or chocolate bars. And then to have only 50 percent of that money even go to their school, for who knows what? Certainly not to improve the school. I am very thankful we will only be in this district for this school year! If you have the option to put your child in ANY OTHER SCHOOL, PLEASE RUN FROM HERE. I am very close to homeschooling her so that she will actually stay at her intellectual level and continue to advance and not be held back from achieving what she is capable of. If you are a parent that simply wants to dump your child somewhere as free daycare, and does not care if they are bullied regularly, enough to leave bruises and cause them to have nightmares -- This is the motherlode for you!

Protocols during Covid restricted outside visitors from visiting the building. We ensure a safe environment for everyone. In non Covid protocols, scheduling visits ahead of time allows for better planning. We support our students, parents, and community members at Graham Elementary.

The teachers are wonderful and really care about the kids. However, the new principal doesn’t.
We’re previous military and now military affiliated so when we went to move in the middle of last year things were rough and the kids didn’t get to say goodbyes in person to their friends and teachers. We were told when we came to visit family in WA to stop by and say hi/goodbyes to the class.
We came back to visit during the last few days of school and went to pick up yearbooks, my kids were so excited to see their classmates/friends. To our surprise the new principal Jamie Burnett wouldn’t let them, telling us through his secretary that the classes were busy that day. I had emailed the teachers beforehand and they told me they would love to see them and that they had time to do so. I know the last few days of school usually don’t have much going on. Instead of having a heart and letting them say their goodbyes he basically told us to leave and he couldn’t even tell us himself. And we left, with my girls in tears. To me that shows this new principal should not be working with or around children.

The principal here is the absolute worst. She stated herself her only concern was test scores and attendance. She critiques my parenting and my child having never met either of us. We had just moved here. The teachers coward down to her like she’s a dictator. Their autism program is horrible. DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD HERE IF THEY HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS. And if you comment on bethels Facebook page complains they will delete them like they have all evening to me and the other parents. I will be selling my house and getting out of this district ASAP

This was a great school until the new principal came in last year. It's terrible now.

I worry that my child is not challenged mentally with this school. She is bored with school and she is only in third grade. I saw reviews from other military families and I admit I am surprised that they have rated the school so high. I am disappointed in Graham.
