Teachers offer tailor suited goals for each child. My daughter reads pretty fast so her reading goals are higher than a student that reads slower. That said, all the children have just about the same homework and assignments.

My daughter had an issue last year and it was resolved by the principal and vice principal immediately. After the resolution, nothing else ever occurred again. Communication is excellent.

Im a huge fan of this school. My son went to Drum and both my girls were/are at Narrowsview. Both schools are wonderful and I have complete confidence that this district is where my children are getting the best education. Be weary of other reviews on this website as both my girls have/ had in the past, Missel. From my experience, she keeps parents informed, gives recommendations on how you can help your child at home to study for tests, and offers support for learning in general. She has always been a pleasant and kind teacher with every interaction.

Teachers are available in the morning hours to offer help and guidance. The teachers here genuinely want my child to be successful.

The teachers set their expectations with each student. They set tailored goals for their students. They also email parents bimonthly to inform them what they can do to help with their students and when testing is coming up.

It starts with principal Wong and trickles down to the teachers and staff. Wong has high standards of education and swiftly deals with concerns from parents. She makes herself available to the parents and resolves issues right away.

I am decidedly underwhelmed. The music programs are great (yay, Mr. Burns!), and my kid had a great year in social studies and ELA... Maths and science was an absolute horror show thanks to one 6th grade teacher. I'll be complaining to the superintendent.

I hate to give such a negative review, but I have to base this one one teacher in particular (Missel). Worst interactions we have had with a teacher in all our years in the district. She's just terrible and my kid hated her all year long. Rude, condescending and just plain mean.

It's very much a 'there goes the neighborhood' situation. My kid was offered pot on the second day of school, and things didn't improve much from there.

The principal is open to criticism of teachers, but ultimately powerless thanks to teachers unions ... or so I can only assume.

I have no idea. My kid doesn't have a learning disability.

Counselors should ALWAYS contact parents before having one on one contact with students in regard to bullying. Obviously if there is a concern about the home life, the counselor should use his/her discretion.

If you wish for your child to be pushed and guided to their full potential avoid this school at all cost. If your student can pass a test and perform well on the standardized test they will receive no attention and be left to do whatever they please as long as they're causing a problem. Instead of being pushed and encouraged or at all challenged to do better they will be left be bored out of their minds doing assignments and work that require about 1/5 their brain power. Forget getting any idea or help from the teachers.
