If there is a problem and it is taken to the school board the entire staff then begins to harass your student. The teachers dont see when the kids are physically fighting in class. When students are bullying other students the teacher does nothing. Going so far as to tell the student being bullied to sleep on it when the victim tries to tell. I do not recommend this school or school district.
The school will give you a grading scale at the beginning of the year but it is not the grading scale they use. Students are graded on the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR starting from the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Your student can get 100% on everything but can not receive a 4 because they havent learned everything for the school year they are not graded on what they know.

Current rating reflects the old principal, Mrs. Shephard, who was amazing! The school no longer teaches children as whole people but focuses instead on achievement on the standardized tests. No more morning assemblies or family engagement. Special education families are struggling. Some families are quietly leaving for greener pastures.

Our grandson entered Chambers three years ago at age three not talking and by Christmas that year he was speaking in short sentences. His teacher was absolutely amazing along with his speech and occupational specialists. We watched in awe during his three years in preschool as he continued to improve academically and personally. This year he entered kindergarten (again with another amazing teacher) mainstreamed without an IEP. Our family will be forever grateful of the hard work and dedication of the staff and Chambers.

Chambers is an amazing school that offers so much to its students. Students have 2 recess times/ day, weekly music, P E and library class. Teachers are amazing!!! The PTA at this school is top notch and provides many great, free family events. The school motto is to be a bucket filler. Meaning to build each other up, to help one another instead of bringing someone down. This school also has a Pre-K program and school size has increased to 515 students. The principal Mrs. Shepard makes it a priority to actually know the names of all 515 students and to truly get to know them. She has a morning assembly every single morning before school starts where she recognizes students who did great things in the school, student birthdays as well as any important announcement! Chambers Primary is an exceptional school.

Zero tolerance for bullying and take it very serious

There are two classrooms set up for spectrum students. Chambers offers extra reading and math help during and after school. A guidance counselor is on campus at all times, as well as a speech therapist.

Each grade level is taught to be a leader in different areas of the school. 4th grade for example get to be crossing guards, and volunteer in kindergarten classroom helping them in reading groups. The school has a program called playground pals encouraging students to acknowledge when friends make good choices on the playground.

The teachers at Chambers want to be there and devote themselves into their classroom. They show they care!

The teachers understand that these kids are kids and need to be at home playing outside and riding a bike. They limit the homework to an appropriate amount. Most allow class time to finish any extra work they may be potentially sent home.

We love Chambers! The school is definitely older but you can tell there is a caring & positive community to support student learning! My son adores his teacher and the staff are competent and friendly. If you are a parent reading this, I encourage you to get involved. The PTA is wonderful so support it. We have no complaints, this is the ideal school.

The teachers at this school are very knowledgeable and caring. I believe the children excel because they are taught in an engaging, safe environment. The front office staff could use a refresher course in customer service. Please, when somebody comes in and you are talking about your weekend with another, acknowledge my presence within the first five minutes. They jabbered for three minutes (I timed her) and never once gave me the time of day. This happens quit a bit with the front staff. Not the most pleasant based on my and my husband dozen experiences with them. Parking is not the best and the school itself is outdated, but the teachers make up for the physical appearance of the school. But, in all, a great school for learning.

My son has attended 3 years of school at Chambers. We love this school. His teachers are amazing- they are loving, dedicated, have high expectations, and are very flexible with learning styles. The principal is very approachable, always visible, and makes time to meet with parents and students. The front office staff is very welcoming. The library and librarian are awesome. The playground is gorgeous and very large. We are so lucky.

My kids absolutely love Chambers. The staff is caring and they really get to know the children. The curriculum is clearly outlined and followed throughout the year. The PTA is a bit disorganized, but being a part of it really makes a difference!
