This school with new Admin who has their own kids at school if you are not friend with them and not favorite you will suffer so much, so many NEPOTISM going on this school, huge favoritism going on.
Admin is not professional at all very emotional decision they make depends on kids and Admin lied about it as a religious school unbelievable
If you want to waste of your money you can try or if you are going to be their favorite will be great if not your child will suffer so much.
Make right decision before you sign up.

We were public school family until COVID hit and our public system fell apart, teachers quit, then mental health and behaviors hit our schools. We toured 8 local private schools and felt the most comfortable here. What a great decision this ended up being! We have found a sense of community, belonging, and our kiddo has blossomed academically. She struggled with reading but her teacher was able to identify her challenge then give her the extra support necessary, and now she is at grade level. The school also provides superb after school programs, from cub scouts to chess club, art programs, Track and Field, volleyball tournaments, football, choir, theater, and many more!

We are so grateful to have landed with the Saint Pat family and are committed to giving back. This is a truly great school, made so my the staff and parents.

Saint Pat's has been a wonderful experience since day one. Everyone I have came in contact with is so welcoming! My daughter is just finishing her fourth year at Saint Pat's and I couldn't be more proud of the wonderful young lady she is becoming. She continues to advance so much in her education skillset. I am so impressed in how much she has learned. She loves her school, classmates and teachers. We are so excited to be adding a new member to the Saint Pat's community next year. Thank you all for your handwork and dedication to the students.

Our first son went through public school at Lowell and Mason in Tacoma. Things were very difficult during the pandemic so we enrolled our second son at Saint Pats starting in sixth grade. It has been a wonderful experience for him. Nice to see the kids playing at recess and getting more one on one attention from teachers. Highly recommend!

St. Pat's is a wonderful place to work! Teachers are given a great balance between direction and flexibility. Our staff is like a family to each other. We work hard to make school an engaging, positive experience for our students. We push each other to try new ideas and approaches, so we are always growing and learning together. We celebrate and have fun with our classes and school community as well. These are all important parts of the educational process at our school. I love being a part of this unique, amazing community.

This community has been like home to me from the first day I arrived at St. Pat's. There are so many amazing families here, and I feel blessed to be part of this life. I have never seen teachers work harder than those at St. Pats, nor have I witnessed such a supportive group of families. Finally, one doesn't have to be Catholic to appreciate the spiritual beauty infused in the educational experience.

We put two children through St. Patrick Catholic School and we see the results every single day in their character, their dedication to their studies, and most importantly for us, in their faith lives. They live their faith daily, and we attribute much of that to the way they were formed as part of this school community. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

No school is ever going to be 100% immune from this topic but in the rare instance where this occurs at St. Pat's it is dealt with effectively. If a student or a family raises a concern, the administration and teachers work with them to bring the matter to an effective conclusion. The school is not afraid to deal swiftly in situations where it is clear a change needs to be made.

Our oldest daughter went from public elementary school to St. Pat's middle school. In public school she was not being intellectually challenged in class or out of class. St. Pat's approach to "homework" is a great balance of growing our children intellectually without forcing homework just for the sake of the word.

St. Pat's is able to intellectually challenge students at every level. The school embodies the "no child left behind" concept in a way that also facilitates the intellectual needs of every child. The teachers have great qualifications!

I know of no other school that advances the philosophy of treating others with respect and dignity and ensuring that students are part of the community and assisting those around them. The school fosters great relationships between younger children and older children as well and takes every step possible to make sure none of its students feel alone.

St. Pat's has enacted programs for students with learning differences. There are classes for those who need additional assistance in particular subjects and classes for those who have a need for some advanced work in the same topics. Perhaps more importantly, the school encourages all students of every level to work together to help each other out.

St. Patrick School is the best decision we made for our children. Our oldest was in the public school system in Gig Harbor, which was good, but when we moved her to St. Pat's for middle school and started our other two children there, the difference was staggering. Our children are loved at St. Pat's, the community is fun and supportive, and academically our children are thriving. The small classroom size has helped our children receive significant one on one attention from their teachers and has helped in their ability to understand concepts and enjoy learning. The principal, who was at Bellarmine for 30 years, is amazing. There are all types of families at the school, not just Catholic, and the school always finds a way to make it financially accessible to all families. You will love St. Pat's!

Saint Patrick's school is an academically demanding, caring, faith based community school. Our children have flourished there. Leadership is open, honest, and supportive of all families. Financial assistance and family support for children of all faiths (not just catholic) are available. I would endorse this school for anyone who asks.

Our family is not Catholic and was not really considering St. Pats when we first started contemplating kindergarten and beyond for our oldest son. But of the 4-5 schools we toured St. Pats stood out as most welcoming and seemed like it would offer an approach to teaching that fit our hopes for the type of experience we wanted our now three kids to have. That initial impression has not been proven wrong and the last two years have been wonderful. Mrs. Krattli and Mrs. Richards anchor the kindergarten which will be split into two classrooms for the first time in 2014-2015. Both are excellent teachers that were highly communicative and always giving of their time. When our son struggled with some of the math concepts being introduced we worked together to build his comfort and confidence with the material. That type of attentiveness and caring is what makes St. Pats a special place and well worth the cost. We would encourage families of any faith not to overlook St. Pats - the community and educational experience offered are excellent and you are welcomed without regard to religious affiliation.

Saint Patrick is a GREAT SCHOOL.. The Staff is amazing and the new Principal just puts icing on the Cake. Recently updated the technology with IPADS and ChromeBook shows a real commitment to keeping this school moving forward. Highly recommend anyone looking for a Pre-K through 8 program consider St. Pat's. Especially if Bellermine in in your childs future given the addition of Chris Gavin, you get the sense kids will be prepared for Bellermine and beyond. Class sizes are small , teachers are caring and the school community as a whole is very welcoming. Best decision we have made for our kids!

My boys have been at St. Patrick's for 5 year now and we are thrilled with education as well as the community. It feels like a loving neighborhood school that is filled with teachers, students and parents who genuinely want the best for 'their' children. This coming year (14/15) we are getting a new leader who has 28 years of experience of leadership at our local Catholic High School and we are thrilled! The future looks bright indeed for our beloved school!

I have three children at St. Patrick School - 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. All three have had outstanding teachers who have challenged them academically and served as excellent Christian role models. They've also benefited from having technology, music and art classes as a part of their weekly class schedules starting in PreK. Not only is St. Patrick a great value, but also a great community!

There are some good teachers at this school. However because of a weak administration there are also some teachers who are out of control. This lack of leadership has emboldened these disgruntled teachers and they have spread their negativity like a cancer throughout this community. Even going so far as to actively pull parents into their drama. It is very sad.

I have two daugters at St Pat's . one going into 4th Grade and other other Kintergarten. They both started in the Pre-K program and have LOVED it. Everyyear we are so pleased withe teacher and classroom environment we expect a let down and yet the next year is just as good!. The girls get a solid Catholic Education with a community of students, families and teachers that really care about them. I can not say enough about the quality of the program Spanish, Technology, even my picky eaters have expanded their pallete because of the lunchroom. Saint Patrick Catholic School is a great value and great gift to your children.

After several years at st. Pats, we had to leave. The bullying, teasing because of a stuttering just were too much to take. Nothing happening to the children in question, and the knowledge of what was happening was at the forefront. To bring a psychologist in the 6th grade to address multiple nasty issues was NOT the answer, and tossing the bad apples was needed. When that didn't happen, we left. Know that leadership is challenging here, but your big fat check will cover your poorly behaved child. So sad that ghosts still plaque my two. (Both 4.0 kids). Being a native to the north end is always helpful, tolerance to southern accents and being different not embraced. Sad, this is not representative of the faith, nor the parish.

There are many caring, excellent teachers at St. Pat's who are truly interested in their students' development and success. Unfortunately, some of the parents make it very difficult for the teachers to do their jobs. There is grade inflation in the middle school because some parents of students who struggle academically bully and harrass the teachers extensively. Some parents feel their child deserves an "A" simply because they are paying tuition, even though their child hasn't done the work necessary to earn an honest "A". Teachers who stand up for academic honesty get bombarded by the parents. There is also much disrespectful behavior from students towards teachers and towards other students. The principal and teachers are working hard to make positive changes, but some of the parents are resisiting, and a few are downright mean. Overall, for the preschool and elementary programs, I highly recommend St. Pat's. For 7th and 8th grade, if you want your child to get mostly A's to get into a private high school, then St. Pat's is a good choice. If your priority is the quality of what they actually learn rather than the grade, then this school would probably not be a great choice.

My child came to St. Patrick School 10 years ago in the all-day pre-school program. I knew he would be happy here from the first day when he met his teacher and said she reminded him of a grandma with soft cheeks. The nuturing and faith filled environment has given him a safe place to learn and grow up. This is his 8th grade year and even though he is excited to go on to highschool, he will miss the community he has grown up with. Thank you St. Pats for 10 AWESOME years of fun and learning!

This school is in a transition phase (or at least we hope it is). There are a handful of exceptional teachers who not only command the respect of the students, but are doing an outstanding job of teaching the curriculum appropriate for their grade level. Unfortunately, these teachers can't make up for the environment of academic deficiency which has sadly become acceptable at the school (as evidenced by weak standardized test scores). There is also a sense of entitlement among the parents and students at the school which makes the social environment unpleasant for many. There is a general lack of discipline and respect among the students. Efforts by teachers and staff to instill discipline have been ineffective, largely because they don't have the support of the parents (many of whom send their children to the school to "keep up with the Joneses"). If you're looking for Christian values, you'll find them only in a very small percentage of children and parents at this school.
