I grew up at this school for the last few years, and lets just say my experience was totally okay! Lets start off with my first one, which is learning. It asks if students at this school feel excited about what they're learning. Lets be honest, nobody is excited about learning. I really liked how they teach it to us and they actually teach us things that we'll use in the future. For example, Mr. Milnes. He teaches us things that may be unconventional for students such as math, writing, and social studies. I dislike math and social studies is generally okay, but he taught it in such a way that for the most part, I could understand it. Next is Special Education. Now, I don't have much experience in this field and therefore you shouldn't rely on me for this, but sometimes you could see staff for accomadating children and fidget toys to play with if needed. Then there's teaching here. It's my highest score which is a solid 4 stars. They are really good at this, as they are respectful, mostly supportive, and motivates us to learn. No arguments here. Safety here is a little bit of an issue. Last year in 2024-2025 school year, there was drama such as pushing/shoving, gossip, rumors, etc. The staff here doesn't really deal with gossip or bullying well. They try to the best of their abilities, but for the most part, they stay ignorant until a child has to reach out. They don't really check up on that part. Second to lastly, they do an okay job at mental health. As said before, teachers or staff really don't check up on our mental health as much as they should here. They do their jobs and move on. Lastly, the family engagement is okay? I mean, they don't really talk to parents that much unless the parent goes up to them or something is actually wrong with the child. Not once have I seen a teacher walk up to parents just for fun, at least in my experience. All in all, this school is good, but be aware of some odd behaviors from staff. Before I go, I'd like to talk about my favorite teacher: Mr. Milnes. He has been my teacher all three years that I've gone here, and he has seriously helped my learning and mentality to the point where while I went through a dark phase in my life, he helped me out of it just by being there and available to talk to. I'm a female, so it's hard for us to talk about mental health like that, but he's generally super supportive and stays within a student's boundaries. I owe many things to this man, and I hope he has an amazing life going on.

My experience was 6 years ago. I question the current leadership at the school to effectively eep the same level of professionalism from the top. The teachers are incredible. But they are no trained special education staff available if that’s what your child needs.

In reference to the review posted 09/12/2020, this school repeated notified the family in question that the needs of her child could not be met. Especially in the Covid-19 safety measures. When he returned to school last spring he had no control over his bodily fluids. That was put everyone at the school at risk. Parents did not want to hear it.

Before this year I would have said great, but now that my child has personally been discriminated against I would say it's been really bad. Way to break a kids heart, turning him away from the only school he has ever known.

My opinion is all over the place. Sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. They have taught kids this but I still hear of kids being bullied and called names and being picked on. Not very Christian in my opinion.

The leadership at this school used to be good until a new principal was hired. And since then things have gone downhill.

No they do not. They have turned away multiple children if they pose a difficulty or possible distraction in class. They blatantly discriminate against children with special needs.

Kicking a PAID child out of your school because he had a stoke last year and is on his road to recovery is beyond horrible. I can never recommend a school who cant support all of its students.

The principle here does not care for the kids. He kicks kids out who have disabilities. This is a shameful excuse for a christian school. do not send your kids here

When a family offers to have a self paid para support a student recovering from a stoke and you still kick them out AFTER they accepted the tuition money......I dont call that supporting differences

The best. My kids have been in a very loving, nurturing, respectful and challenging environment where they have been able to focus on learning instead of the drama that is in public schools. They will be leaving the school with fond memories instead of bad ones and with a strong Christian foundation that we believe will benefit them for life. It's been challenging paying private school tuition but have received so much more than small classroom size, challenging curriculum and a supportive learning environment in return.

School has recently made the move from sending larger packets of homework home to working harder/longer during school hours to complete work and only sending incomplete daily work home. Kids still encouraged to do daily reading, math skills reviews, map testing review at home, but now we have more time in evenings to spend family time together instead of crunching to get homework done.

All are bachelors prepared and most are master's prepared with long histories of teaching. All have a strong Christian foundations. Teachers are respectful with the kids, you don't hear FLS teachers saying rude things to kids. Communication is always positive and encouraging. Teachers work closely with the kids since classroom size is smaller.

They encourage respect, compassion, love for others and deal with typical kid issues like arguing on the playground with Christian values.

Unsure, no experience with bullying at this school. Discipline problems are dealt with quickly and with respect to the child/family.

My family and myself love Faith Lutheran School. My sons have grown very much, not only physically and emotionally, but also spiritually. The teachers and staff there helped make that possible. The small class sizes encourage more one-on-one interaction with the students and teachers. I like how my children are in a Christian environment for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. I was also very excited to learn how FLS is going to have a 7th and 8th grade this coming year.

My daughter loves going to school at Faith. She has made so many friends there, has learned a lot, and really has grown so much during her time there. She really loves that she knows all the teachers and students, not just those in her own class. As a parent, I love that my child is happy, feels safe, and is growing in her faith and knowledge. The teachers and staff are so approachable, and encourage the parents to get more involved, even coming in to read and work with the class. My daughter is very excited about the enhanced music program at Faith and has already asked if she can continue to go to Faith for "all her years of school".

Both of my daughters started at Faith the minute they turned 3. My oldest daughter is now in high school and is in all honors classes due to the advanced curriculm. My youngest daughter has special medical needs and ALL of the staff have been excellent and working with her & ensuring she stays on top of her studies if she misses school due to her illnesses. There is NO other place that I would rather put my kids than Faith Lutheran. The teachers are loving and caring and I know without a doubt that if an emergency situation were to happen that they would look after and care for my kids. because they love the kids. The teachers are there because they LOVE to teach. The teachers get together every morning to pray for the students and their families. I have even received a card from the principal stating that staff prayed for my family that morning. They are very in tune to family situations and ensure the kids have a safe environment to learn. The thing I love the most is that the kids have the freedom to pray whenever they want too, even when their pets die. The school encourages parental involvement and has a strong parent group that supports the school, staff, and children

I love Faith Lutheran School. The children are taught to love others as Jesus would love them. This is our first year at Faith and we will certainly be back. My child's teacher was warm and caring and is a hard worker. You should check out Faith Lutheran they have grades preschool - 6th grade and an awesome childcare.

We love Faith. It has fantastic teachers and staff, and my daughter is receiving an excellent Christian education. Faith is really a community - the teachers and principal are engaged, and they all know my daughter and our family. There is also great support for the school from the parents. Everyone is committed to working together to provide the best education and learning environment for our kids.

Until recently I would have rated this school excellent. Recent changes in staff and policy have spiraled the academic and spiritual levels from excellent to very bad. The online recommendations on the school's home page and other places are either very old or from staff (stated as 'parent'). Not only did my child not learn anything last year, but she forgot what she had known before. My child was not allowed to write Merry Christmas on her card to her family; not allowed to use the toilet during the day without punishment; punished when other children did not complete their own assignments; during presentations several subjects had their names misspelled (Lois Armstrong, instead of Louis Armstrong, etc) and these presentations were praised by principal. Daily Bible verses have been removed and National Day of Prayer was completely ignored. There are still a few excellent teachers at this school, but the overall atmosphere has changed for the worse. After several years at Faith Lutheran our family can no longer recommend it.

My daughter loves Faith Lutheran because the teachers really take the time to get to know each child. Classroom sizes are smaller than thenearby public elementary school. She is taught how to be kind to others and how to be her own person.
