Our 3 teenage kids are finishing up their second year here. This has been the best change we've made for them in education ever. They are learning more, making better friends, in a supportive helpful environment that feels like a community. The academics are challenging but great for preparing our kids for college. I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting, a community feel and teachers that care about their students education and challenging them to learn more for their future. All the staff work together like family. Our kids are thriving at this school and learning more than they did in public school. Best decision my husband and I have made for our kids.

My son was bullied and slapped around . The principle didnt do anything about it and said he wanted to handle it with love . The superintendent is misogynistic and chauvinistic and feels hes superior and will try to dangle your child being kicked out of you bring up serious matters . He is not a true Christian and Im ashamed of this school because of the leadership

The teachers are all wonderful and caring. We love Mount Vernon Christian School.

At first, my husband and I thought we found the right perfect school for our son. We, furthermore, thought that a Christian learning environment would enable our son to succeed to his fullest potential. My husband and I never considered or even crossed our minds to see the demographics of this private Christian school. Mount Vernon Christian School consists of 97% primarily Anglo/White families and 3% mixed/Latino/Mexican families. Mount Vernon Christian School isn't prepared or educated to have, educate, and/or serve mixed/Latino/Mexican families. Our son is Latino/Mexican-American and has endured racial discrimination, harassment of his culture, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and emotional abuse all by white students at Mount Vernon Christian School. The students are cruel, hateful, demeaning, bashful towards other cultures. Concerns were brought to the attention of the appropriate officials and they had no clue how to handle the situation. This school environment is NOT SUITABLE or a Safe learning environment for Latino/Mexican families. The above statement does not include all students. Some, students are educated in accepting other cultures.
