Zero diversity. Bullying is big problem for interracial students.

I would rate my experience with Elger Bay Elementary very high. My oldest daughter went from first to fifth grade there, and my youngest is currently in second grade there. The teachers have always been great at what they do and make the classroom a fun enjoyable place. The office staff are friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about the principal. He's always in a good mood and easy to talk to for parents and students. We've had nothing but good experiences here and we are thankful.

My son started at Elger Bay the first year they opened and is now graduated. His second grade teacher sent him a graduation card as she does for all her students every year. He loved being at Elger Bay and had a wonderful experience there that prepared him for Middle and High School. Many graduated students go back to visit their loved Elger Bay teachers which is a true testament to their character and the positive impact they had on them.

Elger Bay is a wonderful school in a beautiful setting. We are so fortunate to have caring employees and a great group of parents with fantastic volunteers. Our custodial staff make sure our school is welcoming by keeping up appearances. Our floors, bathrooms and classrooms are kept in tip tip shape. Our office personnel are congenial to all who enter. They care deeply for the community and always try to find ways for us to assist needy families. Our paraeducators are of the highest caliber and work diligently to help struggling students and maintain safety while insuring fun on the playground. I am also blessed by being surrounded by such dedicated teachers. We strive everyday to make sure learning is occurring in a safe sharing environment. We actively encourage parents to join us on their child's educational journey. EBE is a great place to teach.

Our kids started at EBE for the 2012/2013 school year and we couldn't be more pleased! The administration and staff care about the students and families and obviously enjoy their vocation. There is a very active PTA that provides many activities and other support throughout the year. The building fairly new and well designed. This is truly a community school where any parent can feel good about sending their children.

EBE is great! My children love going to school there. The teachers encourage parent involvement in the classrooms. There is a new principal this year, and a new reading program they have started. The reading program breaks up the children by ability and not age, which is very nice especially for children who read above or below grade level. The PTA is active and very helpful. The school is well supported by the community.

My son's school was closed so I made the decision to move another district. I looked at all of the schools and their Great School ratings within a 50 mile radius and found Elger Bay. This school is wonderful starting with the principal who has a doctorate and is caring, approachable and very hands on. The teachers are wonderful and are proud of the school in which they teach. The PTA is active and parents are encouraged to work in the classrooms where their children are being taught. The reading program is unique and challenges all of the students at their level and is not based on age or grade level. You can see by the reading scores that the program is a huge success. It is wonderful to see a community pull together through sponsership, rebates and fundraising to make this school such a success in education.
