Phenomenal School! After struggling with class size at our local public school, we are so grateful we found Sunrise Beach. My daughter has been receiving a first class education and is excited to go to school every day. Thank you Sunrise Beach!!

After searching every private school in Thurston, Pierce and Mason county, we settled on Sunrise Beach. We insisted on visiting every reputable school in the area, but Sunrise Beach was far ahead of others in so many ways.
1. First, the education level/ experience of the faculty. The school has done an exemplary job of recruiting, exceptional faculty, who both have a warm, caring attitude, but also are credentialed, experienced, and engaging.
2. Secondly, the curriculum and college prep components - wow. Science, arts, culture, international components, drama and music, and foreign language, all starting in pre-K and going up to 12th grade. Above and beyond.
3. The individual attention they give to each student. From week one, they were noting the interests and personality of our student, in a way that other teachers had never made before, such as comments related to their special talents and gifts, as well as areas for growth - right away. We were extremely excited to see this
4. The safety and security of the campus. Sunrise Beach take safety and security extremely seriously. Single point of entry, locked doors, security drills. Some of these things local public schools are not even doing.

We are confident in our choice. Our student is so happy as well, and we know the staff are there to support the students at all costs.

This school is fantastic in every way except one. Communication. Their website is outdated, you get a paper calendar at the beginning of the year and God forbid you don’t write something down because there will be no reminders sent. Other than that, the education is phenomenal, everyone is like a family. We do love it and there’s room for improvement with communication.

Teachers are great, it is clear that the teachers at this school are doing this for the love of teaching and the students! I really can't say enough how much our family admires the staff @ Sunrise!

This is the whole reason we chose a private school for our son & the results have been amazing, this school is the Best Investment I have ever made, I just can't say enough to convey how Thankful we are for everyone there!

Mrs Cox has devoted her life to the Kids at this school, she knows what is going on with each one of them.....not just "surface knows", she "deeply knows" her student body.....strenghths, weaknesses & needs.

small class sizes, one on one support , and Mrs Cox over seeing and actively involved in all aspects each students education and college preperation makes sure that no one falls through the cracks!

In the years that we have been at Sunrise we have never heard of a bullying situation.....ever.

Beyond Expectations, we looked at all of the private schools in the area before deciding on Sunrise....it was head and shoulders above the rest!

Sunrise Beach School is a great private school that has teachers that know me personally and will willingly help me, as a current student, with any questions that I might have. The teachers in the school all give plenty of effort in teaching their classes, I feel that each teacher is teaching because they want to teach.

Sunrise Beach School is a private Christian school that offers an excellent education for students from K-12. Classes are small. They are usually limited to 10 students. Because of this students get more individual attention from dedicated and caring teachers. Curriculum is also designed to fit the individual needs of the student. At the high school level, students have the opportunity to take classes from the University of Washington which enables them to receive college credit. Having taught in the public schools, I have found Sunrise Beach School a great place to teach and to learn.

Great Private School. I am very excited to send my high school kids here next year. This Christian school is a safe-harbor for our kids during these secular times.
