I feel what gets me the most is the racism students struggle with. And its so hard going to school and something that makes me so I dont feel I want to go to school, either kids are homophobic or just pure racist and dont understand real problems today but teachers are very loving and some tend to talk for a long time and have strict deadlines but amazing food and teaching yup!

The school itself is okay, but the teachers are pretty bad(besides the band teacher, shes awesome) and theres a lot of fights and bullying. Theres been smoking in the bathrooms before, 8th and 7th graders keep calling the 6th graders sixlets. Also, once during an assembly I sat next to two teachers, throughout the entire assembly those two teachers smack talked both staff and students. But, like most schools, theres both ups and downs.

I would not send my child here. Counselors lie to students, teachers have blm flags in classroom, and teachers are not nice. As a 7th grader at school I think that white river school districts need new teachers and more respect for kids

As a person who is an 8th grader as glacier I can say that this school needs a lot of work. In my first two years there I saw fights thats the teachers never knew about, saw racism and homophobia and nothing was done about it. Now that im in 8th grade ive actually been getting bullied for my identify and orientation and nothing has been done about it. The homophobia in this school is horrible and I have seen many LGBTQ students get bullied and hate crimed right in class and the halls. Other then that I think its pretty good academically since I have a 98 percentile in math (i took acc math in 7th and am doing algebra this year). Compared to most of my classmates I had better scores then them so I dont know if thats because of my own studying or because of the teachers help.

Glacier Middle School Administration and Teachers are fantastic! Everyone at all levels care about the students and parental involvement. Any issue my student has encountered has been addressed and handled immediately.

My son and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at GMS. The problems we have encountered have been thoroughly addressed and dealt with to my satisfaction.

Subjects are discussed at school so they understand enough to do their homework. Students do not have too much homework.

Very engaging and make the classes interesting for the kids. Also good at communicating with the parents.
Posted: August 23, 2019
A lot of time and attention is given to the kid's development of their character and being kind to each other.

my son has adhd and I was constantly in contact with the teachers. They would email me when he was off task but I never saw a lot of change in regards to how they handled him when he struggled in the way of extra help.

My experience overall has been good but I think there are some things that could have been addressed differently and would have been better for my son.
