If your child has any type of disability, physically or emotional, do not send them to this school. They get angry and upset at the children even when the parent is asking for help. All they do is down talk that child and berate that child rather than help that child. Miss Sanders has actually allowed one of my children to get bullied, buy a non-student. I have pointed out over the years a lot of bullying that has occurred towards my children only to have it down played and nothing done. This school is horrible, they do not care about a child succeeding, they only care about the child attending school so they get that Federal money. It's horrible, the women in the office are no good either. They have attitudes because they don't understand what's going on with your child, they like to pretend like they know everything, and tell the parent how they should handle their child when they're not psychologist or therapist. It's a shame. This school is not a good fit for kids who need help. There's a handful of teachers there that I absolutely love, but the administrators are horrible

Office staff is very rude and teachers are not able to control their students.

They really do put a focus on this and want all children to work towards being good citizens. They use Second Step to help children learn how to communicate and behave appropriately when disagreements come up.

Ms. Sanders is amazing! She is super responsive, positive and seems to really have the students best interests at heart.

I don't have any experience with this one.

My child had a bullying incident earlier in the school year and their teacher and Principal took care of it in less than 24 hours. I was really impressed. We moved from another school in another state over the summer, and my child was getting bullied regularly and admin never addressed it. My child knows he can count on the adults at Beverly.

Our experience so far has been great. The teachers are understanding if a piece of the homework gets missed and let my child make it up without issue.

My child loves their teachers and really enjoys Beverly.

It's been great, so far! I thought the PTA was very welcoming (and I've never been a PTA member before because of the clique-ish vibe I always got). Beverly is a socioeconomically challenged school, so making sure everyone is included, regardless of status, is something that I have seen them focus on. It's been refreshing.

Teachers are doing as good as they can and I like my kids teachers. PTA is like politics they favor their friends kids. Office people are very rude and not helpful.

My brother and I went to this school k-6th. I loved every teacher and I always felt like they cared about me as a person. Even today when asked about my most influential teachers, I think back to Beverly. They had a huge focus on treating others with respect and being a nice person in general. The academic program is also amazing. At times it was really challenging for me, but I found that I had been taught more than others when I went to a middle school that received it's students from other schools and I had an advantage all the way through high school. When I went to Beverly there was a computer lab attached to the library, but I think they ended up turning it into another classroom. Which was disappointing to me because lab days were my favorite! I'm actually studying to be a graphic designer right now and I really think those lab days influenced and helped me a lot! As far as the cafeteria goes, I actually liked having lunch in the classroom. It was a very personal time to really get to know the kids i was sitting by and my teacher better. I am now a 22 year girl pursuing a college degree and have high ambitions for my life. I think I turned out alright :)
