"Fort Richardson Housing Area"

The Fort Richardson Housing area is awesome. They just tore down all the old housing within the last 10 years and built all new housing which is very nice. Most houses are 2 story houses with a basement and are updated really nicely inside with open floor plans. I really loved my kitchen especially. It had a dishwasher and a bar table and the fridge had an ice maker and water dispenser which I had never had in any other military housing. There is a huge park within the neighborhood for the kids to play as well as a creek and you can be sure you will see lots of wildlife on base. There is also an elementary school and middle school located within the housing area both within walking distance for all houses. There is no px or commissary on Fort Richardson but there is a shoppette which is also in walking distance from all the housing. I highly recommend living on base if stationed at Fort Richardson.

Pros Cons
  1. gated and safe
  2. tons of wildlife
  3. parks schools and creek
  1. there is a small commute in to town
