We just relocated to hammock bay from miramar beach and.after living in destin my whole life we don't regret it one bit. It's great to live somewhere NORMAL!

"Hammock Bay - Hottest neighborhood on the Emerald Coast"

Hammock Bay is a 3000 acre ultra planned development located on the North side of Choctawhatchee Bay in Walton county. The community consists of 13 neighborhoods as of the time of this review and growing. What sets Hammock Bay apart from other communities are the amenities and the care in which the neighborhoods were designed. As you drive in you dont see any houses. Just trees and nature. When you are in each neighborhood the natural landscape has been protected so that you do not see the adjacent neighborhood. Secluded feel but so close to so many people.

Amenities currently include 2 pools, (Lagoon and Lap), Kids playground (large) tennis courts, basketball court, putting green, 4 pickle ball courts, gazebo for events, event stage for concerts etc, clubhouse, fitness center, movie room, fishing pier on the bay, numerous stocked lakes. In progress is the Hammock Bay general store and on the books is the Hammock Bay Middle School.

Nestled on the east side of Hammock Bay is the Freeport Sports Complex which also has Tennis courts, disc golf, soccer and football fields, batting cages, baseball fields, kids playground. I can't say enough how much we love living out here with our family????

"Hammock Bay Amenities"

We are in Freeport and love it! 45 minutes to Eglin on the far west side entrance where my husband works. The popular neighborhood is Hammock Bay. We have bay access 2 resort style pools. Our own sports complex. 2 huge playgrounds. Amazing house prices. A quick 15 min drive to the 30A beaches.
