"HOA"

I lived in this area, while stationed at Ft Stewart. The HOA caused so much tension. I was only renting , but i saw the hassle that was caused by this. It was not good, we were glad to move away.

Pros Cons

  1. Bad HOA

"Welcome to the dictatorship"

Neighbors are great. Nice homes, nice people, safe community, friendly. Then the reality sets in... Read the fine print in the HOA. The board of directors has "sole discretion" in deciding if your home is being kept to standard. Therefore, if they don't like how you fill your garden with flowers, they can place a letter in your mailbox and fine you. If they don't like what color you paint your deck, they can hire someone to change it, and then send you the bill!

Don't you dare leave yard tools in your front garden or patio for more than a 24 hr period. Unacceptable.

There is a cop that lives in our neighborhood who parks his car on the street as a deterrent. Even that was unacceptable, considered an eyesore.

Pros Cons
  1. Safe
  2. Nice people
  3. Lots of dogs and families

"Dunham Marsh"

Dunham Marsh is a small end neighborhood located down 144 in Bryan County unincorporated (less taxes than the city!) With about 50 homes and condos, Dunham Marsh is quaint, quiet and filled with many families. They have a park, a resort style pool, fitness room and several grassy areas that make for a great place to have soccer, football, lacrosse games. Overall it's a quiet, safe and unobstructed neighborhood in the great community of Richmond Hill.

  1. Quiet
  2. Small
  3. Families
  1. Out on its own
