"Beach Neighborhood"

The Crystal Beach area is extremely convenient to everything you could need/ want. It is an easy 25 min drive to Eglin and a 30 min drive to Hurlbert.

The Sunsail neighborhood has tried to stay true to it's Destin beach roots. The walk to the beach is less than 15 min at a slow pace. The entire Crystal Beach neighborhood has sidewalks. Neighbors are friendly and there is a good mix of young professionals, families with children, and retired people.

Shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance as well. There is a multi-use trail that runs parallel to Old 98 for walking, running, and easy biking. Since everything you'd need is close by, you never have to worry about summer traffic. If you are from a big city, the traffic here is nothing. I'd highly recommend living by the beach.

  • Recommendations: Destin is a safe community. I'd recommend living in any area of Destin, though being close to the beach is my preference. I have lived in our single family home through two deployments. Never did I feel unsafe staying in my home.
