Kings Mill Apartments: Off Base Apartment Complex

"Newer apartment in older area"

The apartment itself was nice, but it was located on an old, run down part of North Davis Highway. However, some of the reason the area around the apartment was run down was due to Hurricane Ivan that hit just a year before. The apartment was also about a 30-40 minute drive to base for my husband. Neither of us actually chose the apartment. My husband's (single)roommate found it before my husband moved in, then a year later, I moved in with my husband as the roommate was moving out. It would not have been either of our choices, due to it's location. However, a couple of pros was that it did have a nice pool and hot tub right outside our unit and it was pet friendly, so our little pug was welcome there too.
