Oceanfront Area
Rudee's on the Inlet - Rudee's is located on Rudee's Inlet near the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. When the weather is warm, eat on their outdoor deck with swinging tables and chairs. My favorite is steamed shrimp and a cold beer.
Rockafellers - Located on Rudee's Inlet. I have never been here, but it might be a bit touristy.
Catch 31 - Located at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Great views of the oceanfront. I love this place! Swanky and great fresh seafood prepared the way you want. Pricey so there is less tourists.
Waterman's - Located at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This place has great views of the oceanfront, but touristy. Known for their Orange Crush Drink.
Mahi Mahs- Located at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Great views of the oceanfront, but touristy. Good sushi.
Rockfish- Located at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Great views of the oceanfront, but touristy.
Tautogs- Located at Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This is more of a locals restaurant. Great seafood and a smaller more intimate atmosphere.
Shore Drive Area - On the Chesapeake Bay
Lynhaven Fish House - Great views of the Chesapeake Bay. This place has mixed reviews, some love it, and some think it's overpriced and a tourist trap.
Chix - Great locals spot. Great seafood.
One Fish, Two Fish- Great restaurant. Perfect for a date night. Romantic setting.
Buoy 44 (used to be Alexander's on the bay)- It's new and I haven't been, but I've heard great things about Alexanders on the bay which was the restaurant before Buoy 44. More of a locals spot. Try it out and let me know!
Dockside - Great locals spot. Fresh seafood delivered to the doc. Great for hard shell blue crabs, ask for real old bay seasoning, go in season about May or June, get the Jimmies (male crabs not female). Try their clear clam chowder, Blue Crabs and Fried Flounder.
Bubba's - Great locals spot. Best crab cake and flounder fillet when in season

Steinhilbers- Located off Thalia road back in the Thalia neighborhood. One of the oldest restaurants in Virginia Beach. Great fried shrimp.
Coastal Grill- Located off Great Neck road. Great seafood with a southern twist.
Cobalt Grill- Located in Hilltop Shopping Center off Laskin Road. This is my favorite place in all of Virginia Beach. Very consistent, good food.

AW Shucks- Near Colley avenue and 21st Street in Norfolk. Order off specials board. Very casual.
