The Columbus Park Crossing Shopping Center on Whittlesey Blvd is an area of Columbus where you can get pretty much anything you're looking for! It has about every chain store you've ever heard of (Wal-Mart, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohls, Hobby Lobby, Marshall's, etc) as well as popular restaurants like Red Robin, Buffalo Wild Wings, Olive Garden, and Carraba's.
Although I admit that I did take advantage of these commodities, I'm usually one to explore and take advantage of local, independently-owned businesses. In this shopping center, you can find Chill, a yummy frozen yogurt shop that we visited more than once. Most of my other favorites were located just east of Veterans Parkway. Natural Market is Columbus' upscale grocery store that offers a wide array of gourmet cooking ingredients, international foods, and beautiful produce. About 2 minutes from there is my favorite clothing boutique in Columbus, The Blue Door. They have great dresses and accessories at affordable prices.

  • Recommendations: Living in this area will give you about a 40 minute commute to Fort Benning, but it will certainly be close to everything else! There are definitely some apartments nearby with reasonable rent.
