Pensacola is home to the minor league baseball team, The Blue Wahoos. The team plays in the gorgeous bayfront stadium, located downtown right on the Pensacola Bay. The Blue Wahoos play over 70 games in Pensacola, with the season running April through the end of August. Tickets range from $6-13 and children under 2 are free. With the gorgeous weather, it just makes sense for Pensacola to be an active city. People are always out walking, biking, or just enjoying the sun. There are also many runners in Pensacola, as well as 5K/10K races and half/full marathons. However running is not limited to the athletic. Gallery Night is a free event held in downtown Pensacola seven times each year. The event, always held on a Friday evening , is a giant block party showcasing local artists, bands, and cuisine. Palafox Street is closed down while art galleries, stores, and restaurants stay open late. The streets are lined with food and craft vendors while many bars have live bands playing on their patios. Gallery night usually draws a crowd of around 15 to 18 thousand locals and tourists. This fun street party is perfect for people of all ages.
