Very close to bases.
Have a great little hole in the wall mexican restaurant within walking distance. Lost of cons

  • How would you describe this Area of Town: Locals Spot, Shopping, Restaurant and Bars
  • Recommendations: Cons- We moved in with little knowledge of the area and although it seemed ok on paper, it really isn't. Living on Bayview right off Chesapeake, the neighborhood I am on the outskirts is hit or miss. One street seems fairly "nice", the next just run down and neglected. From my window I've seen my fair share of criminal activity; have had my vehicles vandalized in my driveway, harassed inside my home at midnight, and although I have this fabulous yard, I don't feel very comfortable with letting my kids run around out back without being completely covered up. My husband has even been hit by full cans of soda people threw at him from their vehicle driving by, and my yard is littered with garbage from people walking to and from the gas stations and shops up the block. Needless to say, we were very unhappy with out housing choice (which was a whole other issue) and the neighborhood. Pros- Very close to base.
